Lee told me, if I remember correctly, that 13: 1 is optimum. 13: 2 is ok too.

Tony, It would be interesting to see a spreadsheet on all these figures.

Justin, I think you should just relax, enjoy your car....and let the rest of us catch up. Awesome numbers!

Thank's, I'm the one that need's to catch up! I just have to learn how to drive what I got now...put the #'s down on the track where it matter's I 'm watching the after market now for the cam's, it might be a while with the variable cam timing. I would trade my dyno number's for your track ET's.

Some buddies of mine warned me about cam's coming out. Be sure that the cam's you get will operate all three valves properly. He said some out there will have cam's, but they won't get the most out of the capabilites. I know this sounds vague-sorry. I won't be doing cams until I see definately proven numbers! I'll probably just wait until the whole top end can be replaced with substantial numbers generating product. Next week, I'll be getting a new RAM clutch installed, line locs and I'll be putting in a new upper third link. My headers and full exhaust should be in the following week. I need to follow up on that one, so I can schedule a custom tune and dyno time!
I wish I had your dyno numbers so I could improve on my ET's!

Let me know how the Ram clutch and line lock's work out! Those mod's will be come'n up for my Pony as well. I'm not going to wait till stuff break's, I'll just take your word for it, and "cut'em off at the pass" Thank's for the tip's on the cam, I was worried it might be a tough nut to crack. I'll wait for COMP or Lunatti to figure it out. I'm going with Flat Top piston's and rod's at the same time to get that "punch", Muhaha! What header's did you go with? I wish I had your "skill's" so I could improve my ET's!

I'm going with the Stainless Works 1 3/4 long tubes and the rest is 3" out the back. It should be here next week. They make quality product from what I've seen on Chad's car (Turbochad). At idle through 3000 rpm, it's not loud at all. When your on the gas (above 3000 rpm) it does get a bit loud. My wife will never know it, because she doesn't step on it at all. I'm prepping for future mods if you wondering why the 3". The RAM clutch and Paul's HP line locks will be going in this week. I'll be going up to the GA NMRA event in 2 weeks! WOOHOO! I'll be watching you for bottom end mods though! I think we are thinking along the same lines for build up.

how do you like the Stainless Work's header's? Are you going to change your motor mount's? The stock hydra-mount's may be the next weak link at the drag's. I've heard of some breaking allready... :bang: I'm installing my Steeda race mount's this weekend. What Ram clutch did you go with (model #)? I want to hear your impression of it before I order it. I've looked at different clutch option's and Ram look's good. It look's like Crower is breaking through with a cam, I'll be contacting them today. If I can get a cam nailed down, I can go ahead and get the JE flat top forged piston's and rod's. Then I can Get-ur-done!!! Good luck at theNMRA race, I'm sure alot of us here will be pullin for you!! I wish I could go to that event.... :bang: I'm hoping to go to the track this Saturday. I'm avoiding the Friday Midnight Mayhem siries because it's just that, Mayhem.... To many kid's and "fart can's". I want to get into more organized bracket drag racing. Does the NMRA run through Vegas??

I won't physically have the headers until next week. I've heard nothing but good things about them though. I already have the Steeda mounts. I just need to slap them on there. The guy that's installing the clutch ordered it for me. I don't have details on it yet though. I should be gettting the car back, tomorrow or Friday. I'll let everyone know. I also emailed RAM asking about what clutch set up they had for the 05. They told me they were using (in their 05) the 04 Cobra setup w/o the t/o bearing and using a shim kit. This is probably the set up I'll have. I can't wait. http://www.nmraracing.com/ The website tells you everywhere they'll be. It'll be fun.

What is the difference between the 300hp figure that comes with the car and what you guys are pulling down with mods? I guess I expected them to be above 300??

the 300 hp that he manufacturers advertise with is at the flywheel. When we are saying that we are getting 294 rwhp, it's rear wheel horse power. There's a loss of power from the flywheel to the rear tires-typically 15%+/-.

Guys, let you all in on a little traction secret.Forget anything else untill you have installed an Airbag in right rear coil.12 psi in bag when racing and empty when not. Will plant rear tires and stop all wheel hop.Only need it in the right rear so buddy up with someone and split the cost because they are sold in pairs.

Just so everyone knows.RT (reation time) means nothing, unless your bracket racing. You could wait all day at the christmas tree lights after they turn green and still run your number.1/4 mile doesnt start till the front wheels of your car brake the strating light beam.So be comfortable on the line and launch when you are ready.Dont be concerned about leaving right at instant green.Unless your realy trying to beat the other guy.You will get your best numbers working on your cars leave(60 ft time)distance you travel from that first beam to the 60 ft beam.
