California Car Duster

Any of you guys use this?? I started to order today after hearing good reviews, but by the time I was ready to checkout with the purchase, I was spending almost the same amount on shipping as the duster coster. $19.99 with wooden handle. $15.0 in shipping.

I just got one from an Auto store here Lordco no shipping so when the car is 99.7 % clean and a tad of dust I'll use it but too much I'd hate to rub and scratch so then I'd just hand wash.

Another tip is after you get it put it inside a newspaper for a day to absorb some of the wax that is on the duster. If you don't do this and have a black car you will see swirls from the duster. The dirtier looking the duster gets the better it's working. Great product imo.

+1 Use mine daily between car washings. Dusts the car clean in a matter of minutes. Amazing how much and how fast dust collects on vehicle surface (and I keep my in the garage most of the time). Works great...

Colby,
I've got 2 of them that I have had for years. They look like they have been pulled behind a car down a dirt road but I use them on my 70 Mach1 with no fear. Just give them a good shaking once in a while. They are great.

Hi colbymh,

These things are the bomb! If you don't get any poop or water on the car you will never wash your car again! Just use it at least once a week and for the bits of smutz use a detail spray and clean terry cloths from Price Club or Costco.

HTH!

I've got one...but it tends to streak the dust...(maybe my car is just too dusty)...but it was kinda annoying to have dust streaks on the windshield.

I know everyones saying the same thing but I LOVE the product so I'll chime in. Target or walmart for $10-$15. As everyones said they DO get better with age, had mine since 2003. If there is no rain, puddles, bird poo or other stuff like that, you can easily go a month without washing your car using it daily.

Unfortunately with my new work schedule, I'm driving home when every sprinkler in my towns running, so I haven't been able to use it. Reclaimation water sucks!

They will streak when new if you don't absorb some of the excess wax out of them with the newspaper. I've been using them for 20+ years and they are great. I have 2 rules: If I drop it on the pavement, it gets thrown away. And never wash it.
