OK, the perf mod bug has hit! I'm gonna do both of these (along with some engine dress-up stuff), does it matter which I install first?? The FRPP's will be in this week, and I will probably order the JLT II/XCAL 2 combo from Breenspeed or Bama. After this I'm DONE!!! Well, except for the $1K steering wheel..........

 

Doesn't matter at all. You can put the exhaust on right when you get it since you don't get any power from it(I know, I've got them :-) ). Then put your CAI and tune in once you get them and have a blast!

 

Thanks. Exhaust and engine stuff will be here this week, so that does make sense. I even suckered myself into getting some of the liquid sound proofing stuff, I post pix as so forth....

 

You wasted your money on that! Never say never when it comes to mods and enjoy the add-ons.

 

I vote CAI and tune first. YOU will notice the difference.

 

Would the tune be affected by the mufflers? They are both coming in the same week, so it's not a debate over which, just which to install first........

Now I'm seeing some pix of the C&L I really like shinny things, but I also like the fact that the JLT can come painted......I would've bit on the GMS CAI, but too much neg comments and questionable comments made by Mr G......

 

It doesn't matter. The axle backs do not have any + or - effects on power. It's only for sound...now the CAI and Tune...You'll love it!!!
