which CAI to choose?

I plan on getting the C&L Racer Intake with X-2 from Bamachips or Brenspeed, both individuals seem to have awesome tuning and help with multiple issue like throttle lag, shift points, etc. Do a search on both individuals and see what comes up.

try using search and you can find more info than you care to deal with on the subject... but heres what i can gather... (and note i am only considering those that require a tune). JLT and C&L are pretty much top of the list - and Bamachips or Brenspeed or Tillman being the code-monkeys of choice when it comes to a custom tune...
so to answer your question as to which of the 2 - i would go with the C&L.

I know there are a ton of c&l fans on here which I would choose out of what you are looking for. I am partial to steeda with the high flow elbow, it is a great fit, with comparible hp gains. Which ever cai you choose get a good tuner/cai combo.

I went with Bamachips 3 tunes (93 Performance, 93 Torque, 87 Performance), and the JLT-II Cold Air Kit. I really wanted a Steeda kit because I liked the looks of it, but in the end I took the easy (cheap) way out, and have no regrets.
As far as cold air kits go, all of the best ones (JLT, C&L, Steeda) all perform about the same For that reason, I got the JLT. If you're into looks and a show car apperence, the JLT probably isn't your choice. If you want to make the same power and save over $100.00 to put twoards something else like pulleys, delete plates, or a shifter, get the JLT. The other ones don't make anymore power, and the 95mm on the C&L racer is a little too big for a bolt-on car. As with anything on a streetcar, staying conservative is the way to go, and 89mm is plenty big for these cars. The engines make 300hp, not 600hp.
I plan on going to the track tomorrow night and testing out the 3 tunes over my baseline. Supposed to be cool tomorrow night (high 50's), which was about what it was when I ran it 100% stock 2 weeks ago.
