Rap a piece of string around what will be the ID of silicone,
measure length of string then divide by 3.14 for ID.
On C&L Racer its 4" at filter end and 4.5 at TB.

I cant tell, what sizes did you end up getting and do they fit?

I initially ordered 4" and 4.5" hoses when I switched mine out from that goofy blue to black. Unfortunately, the 4" size was wrong and I had to order a third one that is 3.5" and it fits perfectly.

If you need to trim them (I did, mine were too long), a suggestion is to find something like a can or something to slip it on or over. I measured the legnth I needed and then marked it on the hose. I then got some masking tape and after it was slipped over the bottle, I wrapped it to be even with my marks. Then I pulled out an exacto knife and slowly started cutting it. I prolly made it 4 to 5 times around, pressing progressively harder and harder, but my cuts are perfect and look like it was done by a machine.

It was actually harder for me to find something to slip them each over that would keep it from moving while I was cutting. I initially was looking at the hardware store for some plumbing pipe, but none of it was a close enough diameter. I actually ended up getting a can out of the pantry for one of them and used an old bottle that my wife uses for decorations for the other one (lucky for me, she wasnt home to witness, or I might have gotten introuble).

Good luck. I really liked changing mine out. I think it looks much better. Course if anyone needs new or replacement clamps or a 4" Black silicone replacement hose, lemme know....I ended up using my original clamps so I have the four I ordered sitting around with the hose size I got wrong.

I sure hope it fits...cost me a mint to get these in Yellow.
You CAN NOT find these sizes in yellow in the states to save your life...
Got them from China! No EPA over there. Factory prolly poisoned a
family of 8 to make them.

I asked for 5mm thick and they sent me 5 & 5.5.
There is some other color marbelization in some parts of them but
it is limited to a certain area and I can roll that side face down.
If correct in size these should do nicely.

I took J2L06GT's word and got 4 & 4.5. My shaker is in the way
so I didnt run out and do it right away. Will tackle it very soon though.

Was yours 3.5 at the filter and 4.5 at the TBI? These look right on.

Well, I hope I'm making a silly mistake here, but mine is the non "racer" (black plastic) C&L intake, and I did initially order the 4.5" and the 4" hoses.....The 4" one didnt fit and I had to order the 3.5" for the one nearest the filter.

I asked some advice from someone who I thought had the same intake (the non racer one) and got the sizes I had initially ordered....well, one of the two didnt fit (the 4") so thats when I realized mine was different from his. Not his fault at all, just my fault for not mentioning first. I dont have the shaker, so maybe the hose intake size IS different. I hope it all works out for you. I would wait out getting your shaker and check to make sure they do or dont fit though before ordering the 3.5". Another easy way is to just see if there is anyone geographically close to you who has the shaker and the C&L intake. Go over and see if your hoses fit.

Yeah, except for where it goes into the shaker part of the intake, mine is identical looking to yours.

Last item on the page...

straight connector hoses single ply

These are all 1.75 inches in length. Please select your preferred inner dimension size and color

A fellow Yellow...??

Ok...had to work yesterday and today but I get off at 1pm.....then I will
be playing with this.

I dont think you can get that on there with clamps at 1.75 inches.
A 3" length is standard. I will measure it and verify at the TBI.

That place was $26.67 each with $8.99 shipping so $35.66 for one silicone...?

ouch!!!

I dont mind putting it up here. I was dealing with a manufacturer and I paid for samples.
It was right at $50 for both the 4" and the 4.5" at a 3" length in yellow.

I was contemplating a purchase so that other Yellowheads could do it....
The samples are way way way more than it would cost but I would have to buy in bulk.

I swapped mine out for black ones myself. I cannot recall the size but what i did to but them to proper length was to insert the C&L coupler inside the new ones then with a brand new razor blade i simply followed around the outside and cut them to the proper length.
Also i went through a few razor blades to make sure the cut were super clean and did not tear or damage the threads inside the silicone couplers.

Here's a picture after. Much better than that crappy blue.

Now thats the Ferrari of C&L's right there. Awesome!!!

My main issue is color.
Black and reds can be had. Finding Yellow aint so easy.
Especially at the 4" or 4.5".

I found this place but when you go the Paypal route it wants you to pay with no total listed so I dont know what exactly they are taking. now on their site its like $10 with $10 shipping but upon checkout its blank.

I dont want to give them my whole bank account. Also the company info doesnt say much soooooooo I dunno. They do have a number to call though but I dont want them if they have that lump in the middle of the silicone.

Other than that one the link Mach put up was only the second one I have seen offering yellow....

Both stock blue ones are only 2" long.

Well, sorry to see that happened. Of course, I made the same mistake, so misery loves company.

Prolly the 3.5" like mine then.
