Not that this is REALLY important but what about this simple fact of weight. Plastic vs. Aluminum?

Every little bit helps right?

Now what about Shaker vs. cai. I'm still confused as to which is better for performance and the car.

For performance, go with a CAI and a tune. For a Mach 1 look, get a shaker. For a performance Mach 1 look... get both.

Heat sinks are constructed of one of the worlds best conductive and most economical material. That is aluminum not plastics. Spacecraft use gold. Yes, that is correct gold!
I have a JLT I wrapped in a heat reflective fabric that is available to the public at a reasonable price from JC Whitney of all places. Stock number WJ 476194 12x24 sheet 21.95. They use this very same material in the aerospace industry, Boeing. I can place a propane torch on the outside and my hand on the inside. Minimum heat transfer. Try that with a metal pipe! Send an E and I'll send a photo of my pipe. I am not computer literate so do not know how to post it here. Maybe one of you guys could do it for all to see.
