Installation was a piece of cake, like you all said it would be. Tune upload (93 Brenspeed) no issue. When I took it for a drive, I may have been expecting too much, but I didnt really notice a big difference, but there was an extra jolt when you step on it. Exhaust does not sound any deeper. I really thought when people said "throttle lag" it referred to that jump off the line. I still appreciate it and I'm happy. (You were supposed to press cancel when it said "Keep previoulsy entered options," right?)

Just out of curiousity, you are running 93 octane gas right?? I'm not really familiar with Brenspeeds tunes, or their mapping, but you should definitely notice a difference.

Ask around from some guys on here that have brenspeed tunes that have them tweaked. Maybe you can get a better overall package.

Which tune did you go with? The most noticeable tune is the race tune. Also, you went with the street cai, which yields a couple ponies less than the racer.

Everyone's butt dyno's are different. Mine's not too sensitive. Intake, tune, and off road pipe later the car still feels the same as stock to me.

Of course I have 93 octane gas in there. I used his 93 octance tune, its just called a 93 tune, not race or anything. And I asked them the difference between street and racer, and he said unless you are running FI or other heavy engine mods, you wont notice a difference with the racer. Its just lighter and and wont get hot in repeated runs at the track (as far as I've heard)

I am running Brenspeeds 93 octane tune and have the street version of the C&L intake. Guess my butt dyno is sensitive. I noticed a big difference right off the bat. Here is what you should notice. Stock throttle lag is gone...period. Under normal driving (not WOT) it will just feel slightly peppier. (spelling) The gains with these intakes are really from midrange rpm to WOT. If you doubt you fanny...load the stock tune back in and go for a ride. You will notice the difference.

I'd find out what tune that you have. It sounds like you have the performance tune, which is the tamest of the bunch.

Jason I'm running a C&L street CAI and a breenspeed 93 octane tune. Everyones sensitivity to HP gains is different. Even in a perfect world and you gain 25 Hp thats only about a 7 or 8 percent power gain! When I installed mine the first thing I notice how much more aggressive my Auto tranny shifts are. Give it some time, as you drive in different conditions you will notice the gains. Heres a shot of my CAI on my Black 06!

There is a subtle difference I think. I have an automatic and the brenspeed 93 octane tune. The autos come with no tune designation; only an octane rating. So no "race tune" or "performance tune" if you drive an automatic.

Also, my throttle lag seems to come back over time. I think its the adaptive learning module in the CPU. Ehhh, I just re-load the tune from time to time and I am back to square. Oh yeah, the shifting - I agree, it is much more aggressive in the tune for automatics than stock. I can easily chirp the rear tires going from 1st to 2nd gear.

Take it up to 35-40 in second gear....now just tap very lightly the accelerator. With my Bama race tune, the car lurches and is ready to launch, I have the same response with Brenspeeds tune though. I stated on the other forum, call brenspeed tomorrow, I am sure that brent can worth with you and test out the tune to see if something is wrong

I am going to drive it a little more "spirited" tomorrow and see if I am satisfied. On a side note, i forgot to say this before, but while the tune was loading, there was something on the information screen about a fuel error. Any thoughts?

I think that's normal. Mine pops up a bunch of messsages too - but I've never paid them any attention - figured it to be normal.

Reload the 93 brenspeed tune and wait a day to drive it. For what ever reason I was a little disappointed after loading my tune but drove it to work the next day and I said "wow". Anyway good luck!

A couple more questions.
Does everyone leave their tuner in the car?
If I reload the tune, do I have to first put the stock tune back in?

I carry my tuner in the car, but since I installed the LT's it's kinda moot,as I'll not be reloading the stock tune anymore anyway.
You don't need to reload the stock tune first.

Not to hijack but I always wondered if this is a verifiable phenomenon...i thought that perhaps this feature was disengaged by the tuner itself. I do recall there were some threads about ppl experiencing this, however, but I do no recall confirmation.

As to the original poster, perhaps the whole cai/tuner trend was too hyped for you. I wasn't floored myself after installing. But it was a good mod and in fact I noticed more of difference when Doug modified my tunes to disable the adaptive learn feature w/ regard to the auto tranny.

I bought my C&L purely for looks. I don't know if it's worth the extra money but I'm happy with it.
