Installed my c & l and tune last week. it is like a different car. the auto trans shifts soooooo much better i can not believe i did not do this sooner. i am running the 89 octane tune but will switch to the 93 after my next fill up. If any one is looking at a cai and tuner combo for an auto gt i could not recommend a better set up.

Going to Michigan tomorrow to meet with Lidio personally and have my car done. I'll post results when I get back. I'll be driving over the border with my C&L + Predator 93 tune and then back with theirs so it'll be a good comparison between the two.

Let you know, Mark.

Mark,
you are going to be amazed at the way your car is going to run. you will be able to chirp 1-2 and 2-3 gear.

tx2005gt:

If you don't mind me asking, Did you get the the tuner, tunes and intake as a combo or did you buy all your stuff separately. If you got the combo, where did you get it? Also I am assuming that you got the X-Cal 2 with canned tunes, and if so, is there a 91 tune also?

Sorry for all the questions, but I thought you could help

I'm very interested in this tuning package - Original Sin, definitely keep us posted on how your installation goes. I've seen lots of good things about Alternative Auto and their '05 Mustang tunes on many different forums. Some questions I have about their tunes - 1.) do they (or can they) turn off traction control? 2.) I've read some references to a "valet" tune, so that if you turn over the car to a valet parking place it will only go to a certain (low) RPM or MPH, for example. I've also read about "anti-theft" tunes, which I suppose disable the fuel pump; ignition; or other critical system so the car can't be started or driven. Anyone know if Alternative Auto can add those features to their custom tunes? I'll call them with these questions (and more, probably) in the next few days if no one on this forum pops in with answers.
