C&L CAI Install Help
It's pretty basic. Didn't directions come with it? Email C&L. I'm sur ethey would email them to you. The hardest thing was to reinstall the MAF sensor(which wasn't hard at all). Basically you unscrew it out of the old intake and screw it in the new one, lol. This was my first mod by the way. I was paranoid too, but give it a try. If you can't figure it out, put it back together and bring it to a garage for them to do. But you will have no problem.
Even without the directions, just look how the stock intake is setup, and the C&L is pretty much setup the same way. Just make sure the MAF sensor is facing the right way(there is an arrow on it)

Watch out for the MAF sensor screws. They might have sent you new ones to use in the new MAF housing. The stock screws you removed could strip out the holes. Use the new ones if provided.
Was gonna say that, might add you do not need to use the bracket that is supposed to bolt to the cam cover. You didn't mention a tuner be sure and do not use this intake without a canned custom tune from a reputable tuner..
Is it the C&L Street or Racer? I've got the C&L Street Installation Instructions in PDF format. PM me your email address, and i'll forward to you.
It's really hard to mess that install up. Take off negative battery cable. One bolt for the factory air box. Pull the red slider clip back on the MAF harness and disconnect. Unscrew the hose clamp on the factory throttle body inlet tube. Pull the green slider end on the intake hose (passenger side right in front of throttle body) and disconnect from both ends. Pull the whole assembly out. Take out the two screws holding in the factory maf and put into the C&L tube with the new bolts they supply (make sure that flow arrow faces throttle body). The large coupler and 2 large hose clamps go to the throttle body. The new rubber hose went where the one with the green clip-ends go. Tighten up the couplers making sure that everything is sealed properly. On the other end, attach the MAF (facing the right way) with the smaller coupler and hose clamps and re-attach the clip (make sure to push the red slider back in). Put the heatshield in place (do not tighten up). Throw on the filter, through the hole in the heatshield and tighten up. Tighten heatshield, and use supplied zip tie to secure even more. Reattach battery cable, flash car, have fun.
Really hard, eh? I must be pretty skilled then, thanks.
I'll repeat, make sure you don't use the stock screws to put in your new MAF sensor. I did, ruined the threads, popped the head off the screw, and irreversibly lost half of the screw inside the C&L 95mm MAF housing.
It costed me $100 to get a new one direct from C&L... and now I have a useless extra one sitting on my desk. Tillmanspeed, wanna buy it back?
