Thumbs up

Has anyone applied any type of coating (specifically powder coating) to the aluminum air inlet pipe?

I ordered mine coated right from C&L. Not sure what the coating is, but it looks great

Yes I should have as well. Hindsight is always 20/20. I am also considering powder coating the valve covers as well. Not real sure if coating the CAI inlet pipe is a good idea though in terms of heat dissipation.

If you are concerned about heat, I would recommend High Performance Coatings. I have used their coatings on motorcycle headers and have never had a problem. They make both appearance coatings and thermal barrier coatings in a variety of colors.
