What is the best tire size tires for my 07 Mustang Gt 19 rims. Also is there anything extra I should do since I'm changing from stock rims to the 19 in rims.

 

Welcome. I usually use one of those tire calculators at the big onlne tire and wheel sellers sites. You would just use a little bit shorter tire on the 19 inch wheel. Welcome to TMS

What size (width) are your wheels? If you are not sure, take one off and look at the markings on the back of it.

You need to pick a tire width that is compatible with the wheels. You can look up specific tires on Tire Rack and check the "specs" tab to see the recommended wheel rim width range for that tire. You want to size the tire so that your wheels are the "measuring width" for the tire, or a little wider. If you use wheels that are narrower than the "measuring width" for the tire, you won't get the full contact patch that the tire was designed for.

What was your original tire size?

You also need to pick a tire size that is close to the original tire overall diameter, to ensure good clearance and so the speedometer is correct. You can check the original tire size in the door jam sticker, and check the overall tire diameter for that size in Tire Rack or in one of the on line calculators. Then play with the "aspect ratio" of the tire, to find one that works with the width to give the right overall tire diameter.
