My brakes have been squeaking for several weeks, finally had time to take it to the dealer. They told me they didn't find anything and didn't hear any squeaks. They also told me they took off the wheels and checked it out. I was in and out of the bay and I never once saw my car up on the lift, nor did I ever see a tech around my car. The dealership also owns a Hyundai/Subaru store next door, where my friend works the Service counter. We went to lunch and I let him drive(He loved the car, big grin on his face). As we are heading back he says "Is that your breaks squeaking?". I said yep, but the Ford guys told me nothing was wrong. He said he would call them. He has a former Ford tech working for him so I'm bringing my car there from now one. On the way home some lady cut me off, I stomped on the brakes and my tires locked up. The ABS didn't activate at all. So I called my buddy and told him. Sheesh, just once I would like to find some tech that aren't afraid to work.

 

So is this(squeaking) a common problem to the 05? Something is definitely wrong with the ABS though.

 

Thats a great article. But will it work for brakes that have already been used for 1000miles. The article only talks about new brakes.
