Yes they are the same.... in my experience when I first stuck them on with the OR H and fired them up I was like wow thats amazing.... then I started to drive and the trumpeting and "tin"like sound is what I hated. If the sound was the same at idle as it was at WOT just louder, i would love them.

I'm curious guys...is the droning and trumpeting an issue with the stock cats and H or is it with OR H or X?

From what I've heard... drone is worse with the stock H and trumpeting is really bad with the OR H

I seem to prefer the the sound GTA mufflers on the S197 over the Stingers, but the Stingers are my personal fave for the SN95. I think it has something to do with the placement of them being different...

The shortage of FRRP Stinger exhaust (5230-GT) has nothing to do with the Shelby GT.
The Shelby GT does not even use the FRRP "Stinger" style exhaust.
The Shelby GT uses the GTA which is not even made by Borla.

Correct about the Shelby GT and GT-H. Although I am not aware of any shortage of Stinger ABs...

it's weird I only have a small drone @ around 50-55 mph in 5th gear, think it's about 1800-2200 rpm, but only in 5th not any other gears. Usually im doing 60+ so there isn't much drone. kooks headers and o/r x pipe are coming soon, so I shall see how it sounds then.

Kooks, o/r X, and stingers will sound great at idle and WOT, but will trumpet so bad you'll think there's a full '60s jazz band in the backseat.

According to Borla, the Borlas are not the same as the FRPPs. They are made to different specifications, and only the Borla Stingers carry the Borla warranty. The FRPP 5GTs do not carry the Borla warranty.

baloney, I owned them both, they are both 4", both sound the same. both have drone etc. Only difference is the stamp, yah borla is not going to warranty a frpp exhaust, just like frpp is not going to warranty a borla exhaust. They sold those designs etc to frpp to sell them as there own, frpp is frpp, borla is borla, but yes they are the same, if you dont believe me buy both of them and see. This is the stinger type/cannister straight thru basically, not the ones that are sized similar to stock. Both cause drone. If you want a good sounding muffler with no drone, go the gta from ford/supreme, again the same muffler,LOL. But you will get no drone, and a good sound and 4": TIPS, GOOD LUCK.

Oh yah, if you want the frpp gta or stingers use johnbleakleyford for the best ford racing parts, no one can beat them. If you want the supremes/gta I got those from ninosport for a good price. Good luck

I know this is wrong for a fact. I had discoloring on the tips of my FRPP's.When I called Ninosport, they gave me the # for FRPP.The guy there said "hold on I'm gonna transfer you to Borla division"It took about 3 months or so to get my new FRPP's(from the Borla Dude ) They tried to get me to see if a couple of remedies would work first, which they didn't).Then the guy was busy attending car show in Las Vegas ,yada yaDA yada.

Are you saying his comment about who warrants the products is wrong, or that they are indeed two different products?
