Borla Stingers installed! I have questions.

Hey all,

Let me start off by saying... **** yeah! These mufflers sound excellent, and I'm very satisfied with them. My car sounds... just so **** good.

But... I have a question. They seem to make a rattle when I rev it. It sounds like a metallic, rattle. I'm positive that everything has been clamped tight, so I don't think its a loose bolt. I have a feeling the sound deadening material is making some noise after being subject to some heat cycles.

What are your thoughts?

Also... I shaved 18.25 lbs. off the car by switching to the Stingers.

Here are the weight measurements of the stock mufflers:
L: 16.25 lbs
R: 16.25 lbs

... and here are the Stingers...
L: 7.00 lbs
R: 7.25 lbs

Not bad eh?

P.S. The quality is EXCELLENT.

Possibly the tips hitting the fasica or a hanger banging on something.

Yup they are great. Since I added the intake, I can get some mean sounding engine braking too. It's amazing.

This is very possible. I believe this happened with my FRPP Stingers too.

Problem fixed. I'll just say it was a little installation error.

I re-tightened everything and it went away. Thanks for the help!

Lee, what did you do? Just wondering, as mine from time to time do the same, though I'm sure its the excess hanger hitting the bumper stop.

It was simply the hanger bolts not being tightened all the way. I just went under there, and retightened them. Nothing was hitting anything, so I would check the hanger bolts.
