Borla Stingers clamping....

I heard a while back the Stingers had some clamping or alignment issues where it connected over the axle, which in turn caused a rubbing or rattling noise. Anyone know if this is still an issue, or is having a similiar issue with their current set-up??? It's a toss between these or Corsa's for me right now.......

No problems with my Borlas. I've had both Corsas and Borlas, if you want try searching for my "Borla vs Corsa" thread.

No problems with mine. Mine bolted right up and were perfectly aligned the first time, no adjustments and no rubs.

I got my tires rotated and balanced at my local Goodyear Service Ctr today, and the guys in the shop really enjoyed the sound of the stingers.

I had crazy problems with mine... maybe just bad luck, but I couldn't get the the clamps tight enough and snapped both bolts/clamps. I had alignment issues as well. Ultimately I got them perfect... but it definitely wasn't easy.

I had some minor alignment issues nothing that could not be resolved by loosening the over axle pipes and adjusting as needed. I did have a problem with the over axle pipe hitting the Panhard Bar Support but had that issue even with the stock mufflers on so no fault of the Borlas. I switched my support out for the CHE as it is the ONLY one that clears the axle pipes. All other brands had clearance issue and the BMR was the worst it actually rode right on the pipes due to it being square. BMR was however great to deal with on the whole issue even though it never got resolved. I told them what needed to be done but they said since I was the only one to complain they would not change the design. They did however make and attempt to make me a new one and it did not work either so they gave me my money back for it..

It looks like some of these vendors learned first hand why the OEMs take so long to take a car from concept to production.

I was getting weird rattle for the last few days... coming from Rear Right. Yesterday, I jacked my car and put my head under... one bolt was missing from exhaust bracket on right side. Suggest using loctite.

btw, I HATE THE SOUND! TOO LOUD! NICE.
