Listening to the new sound clips of the Borla exhaust, I have decided to probably go with this system for my GT. (every time a new clip of any exhaust comes up, it changes my mind )

Borla Exhaust

Anyway, which kit is this? I have heard different stuff about the Borla system..are there two differnt ones for the GTs? Which one is it in this video?

Also, it sounds like as the RPM range gets higher than 2500rpm (around there I think) the deepness of the Borlas fades out. What can be done to make this sound a little meaner and throatier (with more burbles)? What kind of x-pipe would match? Any other clips from owners?

Thanks all!

That clip looks familiar.
But anyway those are my Ford Racing axle backs which happen to be made by Borla. The consensus seems to be that they sound exactly like the Borla S-type axle backs. They also look the same with the only difference being that the FRPP mufflers are embossed with the words Ford Racing. Apparently, there is also a new Borla axle back coming out that is supposed to be quieter. Overall I couldn't be happier with the set up and these things sound MEAN throughout the entire RPM range.

I should never judge the sound of a car through videos, your right.

Is there a Borla Cat-Back though?

And PLEASE...can anyone tell me what setup they are running ALONG with the Borlas, mainly x pipes, and whether or not its louder/throatier. PLEASE! :worship:

Okay I saw the cat back on the site. This one is, im guessing, louder than the "Rear Section" right?

Again, PLEASE give some suggestiong for x pipes that can make the Borla sound throatier!

Would the axle backs sound the same as these Borla Cat-Backs on LMperformance?

Borla Cat Backs

If not, are these deeper and louder?

I have the Ford Racing exhaust, and they sound sweet. I love the sound difference and the enjoyment that comes with it.

I would make a guess-timate that the axlebacks and catbacks are the exact same sound.

The mufflers are the same, the tips are the same, and the diameter of the pipe(stock) is the same (2.5")

Its only benefits... T-304 Stainless, and one or 2 less bends in the pipe..
Not enough to make it louder or anything...

I have zero first hand experience, but from the clips I've heard on the net, I would recommend offroad h-pipe or offroad x-pipes. I haven't heard a single clip with catted mid pipes that gives the throaty, burbling, gurgling sound that the offroad pipes give.

Heh, funny...I was just about to show you links for a system with JBA catted x-pipes and a system with JBA offroad x-pipes to illustrate the difference...but then I noticed YOU were the one who posted it...

I know I have posted this before, but for anyone who hasn't heard them, here is a taste of what SLP LMs sound like in action:
