I've seen posts from time to time on exhaust rattles and other than making sure the pipes were well centered don't recall any specific resolutions. I have the Borla cat backs and have had an annoying rattle coming from the rear drivers side. Unitl today I had been unable to chase it down and the pipes were as well centered as they could be. I noticed the rattle more when the engine was hot, turns out the last hanger on the drivers side pipe would start contacting the metal frame of the bumper when the exhaust got hot and the pipes expanded. I took the sawzall and removed about 5/8" from the hanger and no more rattle, the cut looks pretty rough but I did this on my back in the driveway pretty much doing a crunch the whole time.........never did like them crunches

Ron-
I see the silver rod that you cut, but can't visualize what it connect to?
I'll be installing the FRPP/Borla axle-backs next weekend (pending the UPS guy) and any little tips/tricks will be greatly appreciated.

From the edge of that picture that rod continues back another inch or two and makes a 90 degree bend towards the pipe. It then wraps around the pipe where it is welded in place. I had the cat backs done by a shop, unless you had access to a lift I imagine it would be a real PITA. Others who have done it themselves may be able to give you better guidance.
