I believe it. The Corsas become animals when you start pushing alot of air thru them.
Not surprising. That is how magnaflows are too and they are similar in design. Both are perforated tube, straight through glass/ceramic packs I believe.

On my big block 451ci mopar, magnaflows sounded pretty great at idle and in the garage. Around town too. But when you got on the throttle, they just brapped like a harley and droned. Magnaflow said that I was passing too much exhaust gas through them at too high a speed to dampen the noise and that they were effectivly a wide open pipe at full throttle on my car.

I find my ear is more akin to the super turbo style of mufflers. Like stock GT ones and the GTA's.

I have stingers and want to get a new mid pipe. What pipe should I go for that will make my exhaust louder but keeping a deep tone?

H-pipe, either hi-flow cats, or offroad.

Yes- unless you get caught! Seriously though, running with no cats is "for offroad use" only.

I got a bassanis hi-flow cats from ninosport. They are probably the highest flowing cats, just enough to keep it legal.

That's the pipe that I have. You can remove/install the cats incase you want to go offroad. I have alot of clips in my Borla vs. Corsa thread.

Tom... I am just curious... Do you guys over in Hoosier country have to have your cars E-checked for emissions? We have had to have our cars checked in my county for more than 20 yrs until last fall they stopped it all and said it has made no improvement in air quality around here at all. It was always a stupid law as I think only 12 out of 88 counties in Ohio had to have their cars checked every 2 years and now it's all gone.
