Boost and MPG

I was just wondering what kind of gas mileage supercharged you guys get. I currently get 14mph with a mix of city/highway. My setup is as follows:

-Vortech HO
-Manual
-stock 3.55 gear

I have the roushcharger on my 07 GT and get about 18-19 with mostly city driving. When I go to my parents its mostly highway/back roads (no stop lights) and get in the low 20's. If I keep the boost out when the lights turn green I get better mileage, but thats doesnt happen offen...

Hmm...

How much power are you putting down to the wheels? What fuel pump setup are you using?

That's 5 mpg better than my car and I have the stock 3.55 gears.

Using the dual gt setup, 39lb injectors.

ProDyno did the tuning:
conservative(daily driven) at 91octane: 448rwhp/423tq
race tune using 110 leaded: 489/ 446tq

Looking at going meth injected sometime soon and going to 13/14psi(mayby)

As long as you stay out of boost(aka not flooring it) you should retain near stock mileage.

mine's about 13-15 in town (auto trans), and 19-23 freeway. Went down about 2-3mpg in town, and 1-2mpg on freeway from how it was before the whipple (4.10's, intake and tune)

39 lbs injectors and GT500 Pumps here.

My daily driver tune is 430whp. You are putting out a lot more tq than I am. My car only put down 383 ft lbs of torque on a dynojet.

Could be supporting mods----alot probably is dealing with the tuning. Are you running canned or dyno tuning?? What all are you running?

It was dyno tuned. The car has an OR x pipe and Magnaflow mufflers.

I have a HO kit which made 10.08 lbs of boost.

Cool but this thread is about running boost not stock engines...

I get about the same mileage now , that is when I don't kick it , as I did before I got the supercharger. I don't do a lot of just city driving , but combined city and highway I get about 16 mpg during the week. On the Highway I get about 21 mpg ...

I get anywhere from 16 to 20 mpg average between city and interstate. If I do primarily interstate driving at ~70 mph, I'll average 21-23 mpg.

Short lists of mods are:

Vortech s-trim @ ~11psi
Paxton intercooler
FRPP delete plates
Pypes offroad H with resonators
Borla axle pipes and mufflers
FRPP 4.10 gears

Fuel system is stock Ford pump with a KB BAP; 39lb injectors.

I run only 93 octane. Timing is at 18 degrees and with stock tires on Brenspeed's dyno pulled 469/414 earlier this fall.

Saleen Series VI here at about 8/9 psi and my mpg numbers are pretty much the same as Tom's

(although hwy mph is about 80/85 - cruise control set to that on my trips to Orlando on turnpike I average about 22.5)
