Well when I open the performance section all I see is tillman this, group buy that, I think its great to have advertisers on here, but let people chat about what they love mustangs. Thats all I am asking, as of recent almost every topic has your name next too it, and in one way or another you usually saying oh by the way I have the ultralites for sale if your interested. Just be a lover of the game, not a seller of the game. If you do that the sales will come naturally not pushed on people everyday. We all appreciate saving money, but like stated before if you see most of the advertisers here dont hit every topic and offer there wares, but yet chime in when its applicable and as stated there reputation speaks for itself, KC being one of the best ford parts guys, he doesnt beat it to death, if you want something ford contact him and he is one of the nicest guys to deal with. Silver horse, quality and pricing keep people coming back. but he doesnt have to have 15 topics going at once. trying to pimp it. As stated before I like you tillman just dont like the spam as stated. Just like I suggested I would rather see a banner with some nice items displayed, people will learn who you are and what your about. Hence people will reply in topics on the good deals they got from you. But too just see lots of topics all listed as tillman doesnt help in my mind. Maybe you think if people see you all the time they will spend money with you. But in my experience customer service, a good product, and at a decent price is what will keep customers coming back not your name stamped on everything, just my 2 cents. good luck

Since I have been here he is the only one that has been allowed to do it. Local boys always take up for local boys. Right or wrong you is brothers. Like I said previously. They have no history and if they continue they and this forum are going to be history. Granatelli is the only other vendor I know of that has come on here and made a lot of people angry with their advertisement. Its not about if they sell good parts or bad or anything personal. Its about their behavior here taking over. Go back and count their postings as see how many are helpful hints and how many ads.
If you other people sitting back there are equally POd at being Spammed speak up. Don't make a handful of us carry the whole load. This use to be the very best forum on the web until it went down a while back and people left it droves because 05+ Mustangs is like a narcotic. Have to be talking about them all the time. I still would like to witth out a Vendor in my face.
Moderator we do not need you moving postings about the subject as you do not when Tillman hijacks one of our threads. We deserve better!!
I for one am NOT offended by CR (Tillman) adding his $0.02 in various areas. I value his input and advice, and his customer service has been excellent.

He is a VENDOR. He SELLS things. However, he isn't spamming IMHO, he offers advice and tries to steer people to a solution to problems that they are having. For example, if I post a question about aluminum driveshafts, he has been known to offer commentary about the pluses and minuses of installing one, and if he happens to mention he can sell me one at a good price, so what?

Cut him some slack. I'd rather deal with someone who is active on the boards and is responsive like CR (Tillman).

Keep it up CR!!

i could honestly say that i didn't see this one coming

i noticed TillmanSpeed on the forums recently due to his numerous technical contributions, as there's barely a thread asking for help that CR wasn't there helping as he could!

the guy has over a thousand posts in responses to technical queries, and has only started a few threads on his own advertising parts or offering group-buy discounts.

either way i say cut him some slack, and add him to your ignore list if he's really bothering you!

while i also agree with suggestions for vendors to have their own sub-forum to keep things tidy.. i truly appreciate CR and his input on TMS!

I agree, Tillman's technical posts far outnumber his advertising posts. Nobody is holding a gun to anyone's head forcing them to read something they don't want to read. Bottom line, if Tillman's advertising posts offend someone there is nothing stopping them from not reading.
Personally I think it's great that Tillman takes a personal interest in this. If other business people did actually listened to thier customers like that they would be able to offer better service.

Hey, thanks fellas! I guess the fact that I post alot and have a signature must be the issue? In any event, I'll just have to keep an eye on my posts.

I just noticed... another RPM outlet? That one was just cold!

In any event, Mongoose, I'll make sure that if the name TILLMAN is going to be all over the place, it's atleast technical information.

I'm really shocked by a couple peoples rants over Tillman. He is here with these Group Buys to help You, the consumer, out with good prices on various parts. If you have a problem with him doing that, DONT READ THE THREAD, because I for one, am very happy with him representing his company, coming onto these forums trying to reach out to the consumer.

If I was Tillman, I would be pretty ****ed off that you guys are throwing fits that he is offering good prices that benefit everyone...But after reading his responses I am impressed again with his professionalism - Keeping it cool. Keep up the good work Tillman, and keep the group buys coming! Hopefully the couple bad apples among us, won't ruin it for the rest of us.

Hey,

It's water over the bridge to me. This forum is full of really great people, and I understand that I can't please everyone! Thanks again for the kind words! Everyone seems like a real loyal gang, and we are happy to offer what we can!

All we can do is try! We've been trying since 1979, and I don't see an end to it. I'm just a young guy, I got lots of life in me!

I agree, this is the GT Performance and Tech section, if you have something to sell put it in the Marketplace section. I haven't seen Mods move anything lately.

Like I said originally, there is a Vendor Specials sub forum in The Marketplace...maybe a moderator could step up and move these threads that Tillman has started on group buys and what not. It would get more traffic if there was actually content in there! Everybody wants to save cash on parts right?

Dude... just chill... He isn't spamming. YOU have the choice of NOT going in to "group buy" threads.

Also... I noticed YOU were complaining that a "Group Buy" wasn't going down fast enough for your taste!

So lighten up on Tillman. Most of us want him here and value his advice and perspective. (AND his pricing! )

well just like stated before I dont dislike tillman once again, I just dont like seeing every post tillman speed, and yes there are a lot. When I post something in the wrong area it gets moved, well as stated if they are for sale items then they should be moved to the marketplace where sales are going on. If he wants to help with tech stuff great, that why were here the love of the mustang, and improving them. No disrespect to anyone.

i am amazed at how off topic this got.

i have my own views on the whole vendor deal, but i'll leave them for my own thought. and yeah, if your not looking to buy something from tillman in his "group buy" thread, then just dont open the thread and read it.

And That is the million dollar answer folks - The choice to enter this thread is yours. If you know your going to hate the food at McDonalds, why bother to waltz right on inside in the first place. I fail to see what is so difficult about this concept.

And to the Good Sir who doesn't like seeing Tillman Speed's posts/threads all over the place - Too Bad! I don't like seeing gas prices on the rise nor do I enjoy you spamming nonsense in this thread but it looks like Im stuck with both.

I don't turn down a great deal from anyone trust worthy. It's too bad all places don't price match and offer free shipping as well. I check out group buys to see whats up for sale

I try and stay away from promoting, and offer advice, and commenting on threads as much as possible. If I offer tech advice to a guy who's contemplating buying something and just mention in my post that "hey we sell those for x price" I don't see the harm?

I'm trying to cut down on opening new threads, but occasionally it's a neccessity. I'm sorry your offended.

Let's get off the topic now, it's obviously going nowhere. Thanks fellas for all of your great comments. Let me know if we ever get out of hand!
