Best sounding axleback

I currently have the stock headers and stock mid pipe to jba axle back but I want a little more of a aggressive tone without long tubes or o/r hpipe. Which axle backs would be the best sounding (aggressive and loud) axle backs with stock exhaust. Thanks.

Try the Macs or the newer squared style Flowmasters.

i have the ford racing stinger axle back. tons of sound clips on youtube for them. I had the traditional flowmasters (older style) nice but just a bit louder than stock, the stingers are a notch again louder. the stingers have pretty bad drone though

I'm currently running SLP LMs. As far as an axle-back goes they are obviously about as loud and aggresive as you can get. some people don't like them but other than the occasional trumpeting i love them. maybe look into some MAC Boomtubes as well. Corsa's are really nice but very pricey. I plan on moving to those in the future.

I have boomtubes and they pretty cheap too. They sound really good and the drone isn't that bad either and it has a low deep tone to it.

Dude there is no other choice then to get a set of Roush's. They sound flipping amazing and have virtually no drone...and that's even with the top down. They sound mean as hell and will make your car have the sound of a race car.

I was big on the Macs, then a friend of mine got the Roushs and they sound awesome. Macs have a deeper tone then the Roushs do. Roush is more exotic sounding.

As you can see it is a matter of personal choice.

I do have to say that the SLP Loudmouths are abnoxiously loud though.

There are too many choices to list. Trust me, what ever you get now will not be your last. You will think yours sound good until you hear someone elses. And he or she will think yours sounds good.

id have to say slp loudmouths!!! i love em because you get that loud aggressive sound without messing around with any sort of offroad setup (xpipe/hpipe). now there is a bit of drone while on the highway but my girl actually says the sound puts her to sleep on long trips and likes it that way lol

I love my KR mufflers. Absolutely no drone but a nice aggressive tone. They are definitely louder than stock, but not the loudest. With the stock exhaust and H they sound awesome.

I had the LMs and kept them only a few days. Just sounded way too loud and "dump truck"-ish. Had the GTAs but they were too quiet. Had the Stingers but the drone was a major pain.

I'm running the Magnaflow Magnapacks and love them! They sound different then most of the other axle backs. Quiet when cruising but scream when you get on it.
