best shocks and struts?

Time to lower my car. I already have some Vogtland lowering springs, but need information on shocks and struts. I know many GT owners are happily running Tokico D-Specs. I am trying to get some feedback on using lowering springs with Koni's or Bilsteins. I've seen both priced within $100 of the D-Specs, by a number of reputable internet aftermarket parts sites. Any opinions?

I would probably suggest the Tokicos as well.

Tried and true on these forums.

Just wish they had an optional in-car electonic adjuster (ala EDFC).

We're $519.99 plus shipping with the remote adjusters included. $489.99 without the adjusters.

Hey Chris,
They also make a non-adustable shock for alot less. For us DD'er guys...how does that shock stack up? And what is that price?

Just an FYI, I am a DD, and I found the adjustability of the D-Specs very nice to have and definitely worth the price. It took me a bit to find the sweet spot for my particular driving and roads. I might be a bit picky though, so that that with a grain of salt, but I just didn't trust someone else to pick the right valving/rates for my road/driving.

After shipping, we're $1-5 cheaper on the east coast and $1-5 more expensive on the west coast.

From my experience and talking to many others...
1) Bilstein's
2) Koni's

I've always liked Konis, I've had them on three cars so far, including my current Bullitt and Miata, and I plan on installing a set of Konis on my '08 GT next year.
