:scratch: Anybody played around with rev limits on the Automatic? What do you think is best setting?

 

i think mine was set at 6700 rpm

 

Do you mean rev limit or shift points? The reason I ask is you should set the rev limit and forget it. All it does is keep the motor from going past a certain rpm, which should be set a reasonable level for the stock shortblock.

Mike...i mean rev limit. They say peak torque is at 5700 or so...so when should i cap redline between shifts. Don't really want to rev the motor more than it should be...just wasting time. As far as shift points go...i raised mine a couple of mph and didn't notice...you ever raise them more than 3-5mph? Thanks!
