Im in the market for the Xcalibrator unit, can anyone suggest the best place to purchase this unit. Price is important but so is it being loaded with the correct tune and quick shipping is also desired.

Modulardepot.com

Talk to Ken if you want to call, 513-554-1777. X-calibrator with PC cable is $375.00 and he will install a tune for you and ship. For me he has agreed to cover the charge for a tune to upgrade the first few mods if they are in the near future.
Good luck
Derek

I saw some place that had the SCT tuner and MMR intake for $525-550. I can't remember where, I know I saved the link, just can't recall if it was at home or work..... I'll check.

I am a novice at the whole sct tune scene. If I buy a tuner online does in come pre-loaded with tunes. If not, how do I get tunes loaded as I do not have a dyno/tune shop here. Does it make sense for me to purchase tool?

When you buy the X-calibrator you will be given at least one tune in the device. After you download that tune to the car your factory settings will also be stored in the device. You may purchase additional tunes as modifications are added or changed, the new purchased tunes can be sent to you via email and downloaded to the device via a PC cable if you purchased the device with one. Some distributors sell the X-calibrator with one or more tunes and with or without the PC cable at varying prices from $375.00 to $500.00. Go with a distributor that you can develop a relationship with (even if it is over the phone or via email) and they will tailor tunes to your preferences/modifications. As previously posted in this thread I like Ken at Modulardepot.com. Ken has the ability to even setup a "virtual dyno" if you can get to a dyno that has internet capability. This virtual dyno is scheduled with you at the dyno and Ken at his office and you can send dyno data to him that can be interpreted and new tunes sent via e-mail within minutes saving you and the dyno owner time/money. Hope I have helped.

Where they will tune it on a dyno. For me no dyno tune no purchase as all motors are not the same and this is not a spoiler you are purchasing. Go to the web site and find a dealer in your area.
