That is true, but going through Kevin Casey or looking at some of the reputable shops selling parts through ebay, it can still be had for less than $1k and it's a great deal. Wheel clearance is of course the big issue here, and if you want to keep the stock 17's it sounds like your better off with the baer 14 inch rotors and pads.

Thats because of the rule book......

where can you get this kit for less than $1000? so far i've seen them online for about $1400-1499 range.

Definently go through Kevin Casey, on ebay the lowest I have seen in the past week is the $1400 range. I believe he can beat that price.

I did however find the kit for $899.99 check it out here, scroll down

It is, but the point is that they are race proven and a rear BBK isn't necessary for 99.999% of the people on this board. Unless you want to race competitively(and the series allows it), a rear BBK is overkill.

I need to research this kit a bit more, but if it offers wat I'm looking for, and KC can come close to this price, I may be ordering from him, too.

His "Hot Sheets" pricing for that kit aren't close to that price. Kar Kraft never updated their website it appears, but they might honor that price. That price listed was the norm before Ford/FRPP increased the price of the GT500 BBK due to demand.

I just did a quick search on this kit, and there's 1 out there on Ebay for $899. The Ebay kit didn't mention any lines, but Kar Kraft does. I'm looking for a kit with SS lines.

I believe on another site someone said KarKraft would not honor that price due to the price increase....

That sux. For $1K, I'd probably be in. I like the stock look of the rotors.

Looks like the GT+ kit from Brotherperformance will be the one for me...

yes...spoke to clevparts..
price on gt500 brakes is up to $1200-1400 range now.

and clevparts told me its had very weird fitment clearance issues.

so...i guess this option is out for me now too...

its seems like the baer 14" upgrade with stock calipers is a very good cost effective option at $600 range....

I hear you. "Weird fitment" and "brakes" just don't marry too well! FYI, Brothers' is having a 10% off sale, until Jan 1...

I put the Wilwood brakes on my car and absolutly love them. 14 x 1.5 with the 6 piston caliper FTW. Good price great quality and inexpensive replacement pads and rotors. Keep in mind its not just the initial cost but maintenance also.

Good luck with whatever you get!
