Best exhaust for '05 GT?

I've got an 05 gt with jba axlebacks on there now but they drone pretty badly... So I'm wondering what everyone else's experiences are like with other brands of axle backs as far as drone goes?

Right now I'm considering a set of pype bombs...

Thanks for the input!

My Bassani's drone very little...if at all. But then again, I have had them for 6 years and may have gotten used to it. I also have their Hi-Flo cats and X-Pipe.

I have Corsas on and while not as aggressive as the Borla, are deep and no drone!

I have an 05 GT- I put Pype Bombs on it about 6 weeks ago and LOVE them- no drone, no popping, no raspiness. Good deep loud aggressive rumble. And they look really nice too... I shopped really hard before I plopped my money down, and I'm happy with my choice. Go listen to a bunch of cars- that's my best advice.

I bought a set of MAC Boom Tubes from a forum member, and I love them. They're very deep, very little drone, no rasp, and get sounds on downshifting.

I put on pypes bomb about a month and a half ago and I love them. Great sound, no drone either. They aren't obnoxiously loud but loud when you want them to be. If that makes sense lol. The tips look great as well.

Borla imo has the best sound, but it's personal tatse. They are expensive and are the same muffler they were putting on the GT 500's, only with the ford name on them. There's probably a hundred threads in here on the best mufflers. Most of them cause a nasty drone at certain rpms so chose wisely. gl

As we all know there are a lot of Mufflers choices out there.
There is No-Right-or-Wrong choice, only personal taste.

The Borla "Touring" after all the ones I have tried has worked out best for my application.

As you say Borla is not inexpensive but they are a Class Act for sure.

I have a set of SLP Loudmouth's and I like them alot. No drone that I can hear, they sound awesome and I still get compliments on them to this day. But don't be afraid to look around a listen to other brands. You might find one you like better!

Out of all the mufflers I have tried the pypes mid muffler has given me the best sound with very little drone.

I have Borla touring, loud when you want it to and then quiet when moving, good balance.

That is exactly the way they work.

It will be the Last set-up I put on mine.
They have the Best Sound of all the ones I have tried to date.
