Best CAI and Programmer for the $
Like the title says...which CAI and which programmer is best for the money. I'm sure this has been asked before, but I would like to hear from individual experiences and I would like to hear..."if I could do it all over, I would have gone with?"
I believe most of the investent is in the programmer, since there are so many different types of CAIs.

I would make sure what ever tuner you get it has some Custom tunes and not canned tunes (i.e. Brenspeed or B ama are good). I could have saved some money if I knew this before I brought.

i wouldn't trade my JLT-II for the world (although i did.. as i got whippled).. best bang for buck.. got me 302.4 RWHP with a bamachips tune (8-10rwhp more than others with even more mods, and other CAIs)
4 members in my club switched from stock and K&N setups to JLT-II and they're all happy

GT: Off topic, but do you have any problems with overheating now that you have the Blower? I know you live with some pretty extreme heat, and tend to drive rather fast at times. Just curious.

Hey Steve
Well my blower is on, but my tune isn't ready yet as Ford Racing have to build one from scratch for my calibration.
but Whipple and everyone i asked assured me that i'd have no problems running the whipple here, as it's running in say. Arizona without issues
not to forget it has a HUGE aluminum intercooler, and a really large IC heat exchanger (it's even bigger than the radiator and AC heat exchangers!)
i'll be keeping an eye on the coolant temperatures to be sure, and possibly slap on an 8PSI pulley or even 6 during the hot summer days if i feel the need

Good to hear! I didn't know you got the intercooled kit, probably for the best given where you are located. That should help a lot. I've been thinking about doing an open road race in Nevada this summer where temps would be around 100F, and speeds of about 110mph for 100 miles or so and wondered about engine temps in that environment.

I use the Tuneable Induction CAI from John Demote (sic). I'm happy with it, just the tunes that came with it kept throwing lean codes in the 93 octane. Brenspeed does sell this CAI with his tunes and it is running great now. Look them all over and get the one you like best. I did custom paint the tube.
