I know theres tons of threads already on this subject but this is a little different. I had my struts replaced with the updated strut fix as per the TSB a few weeks ago, was great except the alignment was way off, went in to have them fix it, still off and now the popping is back. At first I thought it was the rear popping but I'm starting to think I'm hearing it from front and back. It's definately popping though.

I wonder if anyone had it happen with the TSB fix or if there is any other known problem with the suspension I should mention to the techs when I take it in to try and make this the last time I have to take it back to them.

Thanks for any input on this, hope I can get it resolved. Getting a little tired of taking it back to the dealership.

I dont know if this happened to you but I havent had my car looked at yet but when I go over bumps in the road at about 35 -40 mph it feels like the whole front end of the car is going to fall out. I hear a clunking noise and can feel it through the floor boards. It feels like the K-Member is loose or the struts arent seated properly in the mounting towers. Its really bad. Got any answers??

I just heard not two days ago that they have issued a NEWER version (or a completely new) TSB for this as the original fix does not %100 fix the problem. So that would explain your problems.

(its also why I am still waiting on my dealership to get the parts in to fix mine)

i now have 17,500 miles on my car and it just started making the noise. when I put on the lowering springs the steering clunk went away and i did that at 3000 miles. And now this new problem started. So hopefully you are right about the new fix.

That's good to hear about a new fix. I'll be bringing mine in for a few TSB's including this one in a couple weeks.

Anyone know the TSB number or how I can find it out? It would be a lot simpler to just take the new number to the techs than to try to explain it to them. and convince them it's for real.

My car has the same symptoms as 300HPGT listed above...lots of noise going over bumps. Does this sound like it is the "popping" strut problem that the TSB will fix?
