BBK vs. Steeda UDPs

I've done a search and didn't find much...

I'm trying to decide between BBK and Steeda UDPs. I know Steeda make a great product, but I prefer the aluminum look of the BBKs. Both are the same price, so that's a wash...

Any one install the BBKs and care to comment?

I was hoping to piggy-back another option into this discussion. What about the MotoBlue Pullies compared to the others??

I see RPM Outlet has a package (OPTION A: THE BIG AIR / PULLEY KIT)
which includes these pullies (x3), BBK TB, and TB spacer, for $399.95 and free shipping.

Thought I might get the whole package deal at once. Anything I should be concerned about?

*cough* Junk!

If you want a quality product go with the Steeda first or the BBK, IMHO.

I like the Steedas first!

I'm sure Steeda is a sound choice. Their kit include just 2 pullies, HB and Water pump, right? Is a new belt required? If so, does anyone offer a package deal, with pullies, belt, maybe the new bolts (HB/crank & alternator stud)? What about a package deal (other than Brenspeed's for only pump and pulley) for Steeda crank pulley, Mez eH2O pump, bolts, and belt (if required)?

I'm serious trying to decide which option for pullies, and if I can a package deal w/ a TB or ePump, then all the better.

I sell the Steeda Water Pump and Crank pulley set for $199.99 shipped to the door. It reuses the factory serpentine belt, and gives you a longer bolt for installation, then uninstall and use factory harmonic balancer bolt. There are no problems with this setup. The clearance on the one stud can be either hacked off, or reuse a bolt. We reuse a bolt. This will allow the water pump pulley to sit the right way.

As far as the kit goes, I can put one together for you, and I am priced very competitively. If you're interested, let me know and I'll post a breakdown of the parts!

Good luck!

That's a good deal. Do you sell the BBK pullies? If so, what's your price on those?

I can do the Meizere pump, steeda pullies, stronger belt, new bolt for water pump for $578 to the door.

I can do a different package for the throttle body, if neccesary.

The BBK pullies are just short of 250, but I sold the last set I had in stock, and BBK said they won't have them for another week - 2weeks. I'll try back in a few days.

One more question. I've got a couple guys that are interested. Could you put together a group buy pricing of sorts for the Steeda pullies alone? There would be three sets.

Thanks CR!!
It'll be a while before I'm ready for cams or nitrous, so I'm gonna wait on the TB for now.

That's a nice looking deal there! To clarify a bit, we would just need one steeda pulley (Balancer/crank pulley) if we use the Meizere pump right? Also, the new belt would be a little bit shorter for use with the e-pump and UD pulley? How about a new bolt for the crank pulley, just to be safe?

Steeda is a rough line to deal with. I can probably do 4+ sets at a group pricing... give me a few minutes to figure it out.

I don't think it's worth adding a new balancer bolt, but if anyone's interested I can get the price of a balancer bolt too. Not a ford one, but one with the same specs in a nice Grade A?

Sounds like a heck a deal to me. Let me check with my buddies. If Lowe wants in, that's 4, we just need one more. Anyone ?

Thanks CR!

You do mean one Steeda crank pulley, right? Is the stronger belt a shorter belt and how much is it by itself? Thx...

Yes, steeda crank with meizere water pump with idler. This should allow the stock belt routing, I'd have to install this combo to confirm. We've installed the water pumps, and we've installed the UDP's but never together in a combination. The water pump allows the stock belt routing, and so does the underdrive kit, but I think that together because of the diameter of the steeda pullies, the belt will be slightly larger.

That is a good price.

Here is my theory, the majority of the people on this site use the STEEDA and have had zero problems with it.
