bbk throttle body

its up on rpm outlet. Not for sale yet, but its claiming that it wont need any modifications. Dont you think you'd need a retune?

Steve - nice find....I was wondering when BBK would introduce a TB for our '05 Stangs.....questions: 1) how much larger are the BBK than stock?, 2) no tune needed...that's hard to believe since mods that increase flow tend to need a tune?

Stock is dual 55mm if I remember right. A jump in 7mm on each seems like it would need a tune. I am no expert, but when JLT increased the volume, a tune was desperately needed.

That is like when MMR said you don't need a tune for their CAI, but if you want to realize more than just a few HP gain, you would need a tune.

You might be able to get away without a "new" tune, since this is obviously past the MAF sensor. I am not an expert either...

I belive the stock TB is a twin bore with 55 mm total size. The 62 mm of the BBK TB would also be the size of both bores added together. If each bore on the stock unit was 55 mm that would be 110 mm total and to big I think. The jump in 7 mm would probably require minor tweak's to your tune, nothing major. My header's required minor tweak's as well, just to give you a reference. I belive when they are talking about modification's, they are refering to it bolt's right on and you won't have to cut anything or fab to make it fit. IMO I'll be purchasing one of these as well.

That works out to 37.50 per horsepower. I will sit back and see what other do. I did not see any bargains here when I looked around their site. Same price as local speed shop so I might as well save shipping.
