Just finished installing the BBK throttle body. At first it put my car into failsafe mode, then I realized that I hadn't turned the spring counter-clockwise. So it's running just great now. I have a JLT CAI and the Bamachips tune, and magnaflow exhaust. With just a small touch of the throttle you can hear more air flowing immediately. And from a standstill, with traction control on, it spun the tires much easier than before (before I had never tired a ahard launch with TC on, but this time it lit up the TC icon on the dashboard quickly.)

So although I had planned to return it because of the problem and the lack of positive reviews, I think I'll keep it! Acceleration is noticerably stronger, you can hear the air flowing quicker just by tapping the gas pedal, and it'll break the tires loose easier than before. Not sure what sort of gain that translates into, but I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this mod.

Did you ever notice that they never do the TB only? There is always more to it like adding a pipe and tune they fail to mention. If you want one I'll sell you mine for a lot less plus a spacer and it a lot better eye candy than this casting.
The first link, while it does not show the actual dyno sheet, does show the TB alone, theCAI alone and then both.

There must be some reason alot of people are against TBs but why?

Because more than enough people have gone with aftermarket TB's on these cars and saw no appreciable gain and have had drivability problems as well. that's why.

Ask Doug of Bamachips about his TB experience.

Now this is sad indeed as I would have sold you a new shiny LFP one with a spacer for $100 less shipped.
