So far so good with the headers. I'm really happy with them. The dyno tune and headers have really turned this thing into a beast from about 3200 to redline. I was actually impressed with the fit of the BBKs and so far no issues except for the BMR driveshaft loop hits the x pype. Looks like I will be getting a METCO loop soon.

Do the BBKs hang below the frame rail? I was about ready to buy some SLP LTs last year, but they hang well below the rail.

No they tuck up nice. I have seen SLPs and they do hang down alot, I know one guy the kept dragging his and he was talking about getting different headers. I dont think you can beat them for the price. I got the ceramic ones and they look good also.

How do people like the MACs like brenspeed sales? I noticed they carry BBK shorties but not LTs?

All BBK headers are mild steel. If you want them to last, you gotta get 'em with ceramic coating. I've got BBK ceramic shorties on a daily driver, but my friends track only 2005 mustang has the BBK ceramic coated LTs. He's had no problem with them. Of course, here in sunny California, rust is not serous issue, so mild steel headers should be O.K. However, if I lived in a wetter climate, I'd have to have T-304 stainless steel headers, for peace of mind.

I like my Mac LTs just fine. They do not seem to hang any lower than the stock manifolds did! With my Flowmaster AT mufflers and the offroad prochamber they gave the car a verrry oldschool sound.

Just need to find the time to install mine. As a daily driver its hard to go very long on the down time.

304 is certainly better than 409 in pretty much all aspects, that's for sure.

FYI- you have Magnaflow listed in your sig, and everything they make for the 05+ Mustang is 409 except for sections of their mufflers; this has been verified using the old magnet test.

Yeap...Yeap...and Yeap. My Magnaflows are all 409 SS except the tips which are 304 SS. 409 is not really bad and they will probably last like 6-8 years without rusting out. Even in a salty enviroment like I am in. So they aren't all bad. Most of us will not have our cars long enough to need to spend the bucks for 100% 304 ss mufflers. And just because the cost more doesn't mean they sound better.
