im about to order a tuner from brenspeed myself and i already had that question answered. just keep lower octane tunes on your module. that way if your at a gas station and they dont have 93 (ive been told to make sure ur practically on empty when you do this) load up a lower octane tune and fill-er-up!

but if im wrong please correct me but that is what i was told to do if i was put into the same predicament.

I've read that it takes 50 miles or so before a new tune is fully integrated into the system. To be on the safe side, I would carry octane booster and add it when flashing the lower octane tune.

ooo ok. thanks for the heads up. ive never actually BEEN to a gas station that didnt have 93 (been checking every time i fill up at various gas stations) but i will definetely carry some octane booster. just emailing brenspeed now with some questions about the C&L CAI tuner combo and will most likely follow up with an order. including a set of STEEDA ULTRA LITE's and a Hurst short throw shifter. gotta love those tax returns!!!

I ordered the BBK CAI from ninosport without the tune for now.

Correct me if I am wrong, but every time you upgrade something, you have to edit the tune correct? Does that mean that I have to pay for new tunes from Brenspeed everytime?

If thats the case, I will put off the tuner for a little bit of time.

Without the tune is pretty much pointless. You should have ordered from brenspeed/bama and they include 3 tunes with the purchase. From bama, doug updates your tunes for free. brenspeed doesn't do that unless you purchase the item through them. in your case, i would go with bama

With the BBK cai, I would install one of the factory preset tunes and just add 5% to MAF curve!!!

Breenspeed told me that if I upgrade in future they will upgrade tuner for free as long as I buy part there. Also they said the BBK doesnt need atune. I was planning to use Breenspeed for everything anyway because there only a few hours away.
