Wow...I'm surprised. My Bassanis don't seem to have much drone at all - only in a limited RPM range in high gear. I absolutely love them!!!

I also have an automatic and feel the drone probably is worse with it.

I have also tried turning off the OD under 50 mph. It does help.

IMO the brief time I hear a drone (low RPM in 5th gear) is completely overshadowed by how great they sound at all other times.

Ok, I'm selling my Bassanis. Anyone in Houston interested in part number 46055 Axle-back SS let me know. They are stainless.

Will sell for $550.
I can buy new for 475 shipped!

I just bought the Bassani SS Comp/Cat with x-pipe from Ninosport. Got the website discount. Thanks Brad.

Finally pulled the trigger. Getting married in a couple of weeks, and I will have to pull teeth to get headers.

Which headers you going with? Bassani doesn't have any for the 05 yet but they will soon.

I will wait for the Bassani, now that I will have Bassani from the tailpipe back.

Mark,
I just checked out your gallery and your car looks great.

You have a 5spd and aggressive exhaust, do you down shift when you start to hear the growl or drone? I would think the manual t's don't have the same problem as the AT.

BTW are you planning any engine dress-up? The only thing I've done under the hood is the hood lifts from Redlinetuning. I would like to get the mirrored radiator cover from cal-mustang.

Dave

My first engine dress up was painting all of the bolt ends flat Red. I do not like the mirrored radiator cover, too much chrome IMO. I may buy some chrome caps to things though.

I also want to paint my covers flat red as well.

Once I get headers my engine area will look sweet. I hope Bassani coats them with ceramics.

As for the drone, I downshift sometimes. depends on what speed and such.

The only one I see from cal-mustang is this one for $259.95

Before you spend that kind of money check out Blow By Racing's radiator cover, its only $79.95

Well - Had the Magnaflows installed today. What a difference. Sounds throaty under load, but absolutely no drone.

The Bassanis are great for people that want an deep and loud sound.

Its a personal preference, so to each his own.

I also notice that the back pressure (so to speak) increased with the magnaflow so that my "quickness" is back. When I had the Bassanis on it seemed I could press the acceleration and had to build up to the "pressure" to kick into gear.

Note I have an auto transmission.

I'm interested in hearing anyones experiences with both Bassani and Magnaflow.
