If you do this sct programing...and need to go back to the dealer. Can you remove the intake, put it back to stock tune so the dealer cant find out it was flashed?

I have a question about the performance tunes, is there any way to dial out some of the throttle delay on these things?, sometimes it drives me crazy..I like a car to slow down when I want it to...not to keep going on down the road and backing off the gas when IT wants to.
The 428CJ in the Shelby has great throttle responce!, that is what I am used to!

Any one of Doug's tunes will fix this. It smooths out the throttle by wire, eliminates the car wanting to hold rev's up on downshifts, and prevents the computer from gradually closing the throttle body at 4k+ RPM's along with other improvements.
For my car, the difference was night and day, both in drivability and enjoyment as well as performance.

I think Doug does both manual and autos as well.
05/06 GT automatics are 5 speed (not 4 speed) FYI
The throttle delay in my automatic 05GT before the Doug's tune was horrible - sometimes it would take 2 to 3 seconds before the car would really accelerate after stomping the pedal. After Doug's tune, that delay is gone.
I've driven other automatics before and none had such a bad delay. I think the stock programming is totally borked (buggy).

Yeah I am sorry, I do realize the autos are 5's as well..just came out that way. I knew the autos were slower at shifting before his tunes...just didnt know what kind of responce difference he could make with the manuals?

Just curious, what kind of CAI are people getting the best results with the fewest issues? I see a lot of people talking about the JLT system.

Here is a recent tech article - http://mustang50magazine.com/techarticles/...take/index.html
When I first read it a month ago, I came to the following conclusions:
1) There really isn't a heckuva lot of difference in performance from one to another, especially given the variances possible on a dyno... +/- a few hp. Nothing major.
2) Choosing a CAI for yourself is not rocket science. Many of them are good performers, and with a good tune additional ponies are there to be had as well. Pick one based on personal preference... you'll be fine.
3) For all the talk of plastic vs aluminum, yada, yada, yada... I have no regrets with buying my C&L CAI six months ago. It held it's own against the "plastic" versions just fine, thank you.

I just returned from a test drive after installing a JLT cold air intake and SCT2 tune from Doug @ Bamachips. Even after all I had read on this board, it still exceeded my expectations. I have never gotten such a performance gain for this kind of money before.
Word.

Ok, I was going to get my C&L and XCal2 Package from Breenspeed but after reading these posts in this thread I'm thinking of going with Doug. I have a standard transmission so I was wondering if he has an equivalent tune for us 5 speeders. I’m really have a hard time making my mind up. Breenspeed or BamaChips?
Hey guy,
I sell the C&L and X-2 combo for $749 or the JLT2 and X-2 Combo for $549. Either produce very simliar numbers on the dyno, around 285rwhp and 305 rwtq with a manual or 285rwhp and 295 rwtq from an auto, both with my 91/93 programming.
I also do quite abit of mods to the throttle tables to further get rid of the throttle lag and reduce Torque management.
Shoot me an emal from my site and Ill gladly send you some more information.
Thanks, Doug.

Helllo,
Wow this Doug guy must be the man! So, I have a 05 V6 vert that i would like to tune with intake and chip...I've been to a local dyno comp and he has given me some local reccomendations. The chip he mentioned is not the X-cal 2 instead I believe he said superchip. What would be best for hp and tourqe gain? HELP
