My next purchase is dependent on whether or not the Bama tune will work with what I'm doing. This Friday I'd like to order the Comp ***** Thumpr cams for my 08 GT from AM. I work at my dad's used car lot/repair shop so we are just gonna put em in when we're not busy. I don't want to spend the money on a dyno tune just yet so I wanna know if the Bama tune will work out ok. It's my daily driver so it's kinda important. anyone running cams with a Bama tune?

I would talk to people that have em.... As much as I love am and their customer service they have to bring dollar bills in... So do u lots of reading.... I want to do the same thing but am waiting till I know exactly what all is involved to insure my daily can still be as reliable as it was when it first drove away from the dealership

You can only pick two... That phrase gets thrown around allot... But it seems to b true... Unless u have a fox body and craigslist the entire build including the car lol

My friend has or had a 88 LX hatch that he built found everything separately and most pricey part was getting the 306 blue printed and balanced ... But it had a turbo set up and u could dog that thing day in an day out w no problems... But he also knew what he was doing and worked at a local ford racing shop...

As for the cams... I'll let u know

 

I've been running Bama tunes for almost two and a half years now. From just an intake all the way up to cams and spray now. Pull good and hard, power curve looks lovely, and my tuner told my buddy when he dyno tunes it he's probably not going to get much more peak out of it. So all in all for a email tune I have nothing but good things to say about them!

 

I have both the cams and the tune, i bought the tune from Bama when he was doing it by himself and later when AM took over, they renewed the tune. It's like night and day. Call AM give them the info on all your mods and they will e-mail you the best tune there is. Good luck.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe the sct works w bow ties... I'd go to a bow tie meet... Bash one of em over the head w a shift ****... Take his tuner... Return his car to stock... Bam! Free tuner!

 

I have the hot rod cams and a bama tune. Car drives great. Gears would be nice but don't really need them. Doesn't mean I am not going to put some in though. Can't beat the tunes for life. I have submitted in the morning and receive the tune in the afternoon.

 

That's good to hear! I ordered my cams yesterday morning and and got the tune back the same day! Can't wait to get them in!!!
