Baer Eradispeed Rotor Question

I am interested in getting a full set of the BAER ERADISPEED 14" Brake Rotors and would like to get some feed back and pictures from those of you who have them already. Do they really improve your braking performance or are they just eye candy? Please give me an honest review of them since I want to upgrade my brakes but don't want to spend a whole lot of money to do so. Please post pictures too so I can see how they look. Thanks

hi mustang_lurkers,

i have done some research on this.
Its seems that for 14" upgrade the eradispheed plus-2 is the most cost effective way it will greatly improve braking distance and fade.

however, since u have saleen wheels and you can not really see the rotors anyways, i would say upgrade the rotors, hps pads and steel lines. you should have amazing braking now. i dont think the 14" eradispeed will be any more significant in braking power to warrant it to cost more than double the $ of a good stock upgrade.

the only reason why i want 14" is because my 20" wheels show the rotors and the stock size looks so smal!!

Baer Rotors

I installed the rotors mainly for eye candy bit given the larger diameter it will stop better due to the torque advantage. I can't comment on how much better as I'm still in the seasoning phase of the rotor. I onnly have 800 miles on the car and the rotors have been on less than 100. There are some pics at the link below.

If you have any feebback on the before and after results, that would be great.

hi sam,
again, your brakes look AMAZING!!

like your wheels, mine show the rotor and stock size looks so small on my 20" wheels! its so annoying!

however, if i had saleen wheels, i might not do the 14" eradispeed because i truly do no believe its TOO MUCH better stopping power over for example DBA 4000 stock size rotors, HPS, steel lines. DBA rotors cost about 1/3 of the 14" eradispeed.

but bro..the 14" do look great on your car cause the rotors are so visible!

Thanks for the pictures. The eradispeeds look great! I am sold and going to get a set. My Saleen Wheels are 20's and my stock rotors look small. I just wanted to make sure that it looked OK with using the stock calipers.

The Baers require 18" wheels.

Anyways....It's not a big deal. Put the spare on the rear and the rear over the fronts. It's a bit more work, but if you find yourself in a bind you always have an option.

Sorry for the delay in response. The install is very easy but I was a Ford tech for several years. Basic hand tools and your done.

Both kits delivered were right at 1K call Bill @ Hawaii Racing he was far and away the best price for the kits by several hundred dollars.

What I don't understand is why they do a GT-plus one for the front 14" and do not do the standard replacement Plus for the rears(they do for every other Mustang). I wish they would simply offer replacement rear rotors so the set matches.

Personally I think the perfect kit for the money would be the 14" front/bracket kit like they have now, and stock size 2-piece rears. Would be about $1100. Don't you have to pull the axles for the rear brake brackets??

Hi:

I have front and rear 14" Baer rotors with the big pad(C6) 2 piston front caliper. It makes driving up and down the mountains fast a lot of fun. Before that I install HPS pads and steel lines and it made fade a thing of the past but I still wanted better brakes.

Last October I saw Brothers Performance offer the BAER ERADISPEED 14" Brake Rotors with big calipers for about $980.00 if memory serves me well. I added the rear rotors for $695.00. The final result is system better than stock but cheaper than a full Brembo, Willwood ect. Now I can drive as fast as I want and still know my brakes will be there if I need them.

I'm gonna paint my rotors and put a set of ceramic shoes all round. But I love the look of BaERs.
