Steeda CAI Installation

I received my shipment from Steeda today. I've got to get the tires mounted but I was able to install the CAI and retune the car using the X3. Unfortunately, after we got home from dinner at a friend's it started to rain. So I wasn't able to enjoy the full benefit, but I could definately tell things were different! Here's a few pics to enjoy...

I just received my Steeda CAI with high-flow inlet elbow, and am waiting for an updated tune. One question: does the Steeda CAI heat head unit connect to some part of the motor or engine bay? My current K&N Air Charger head unit has a clamp that connects to the front valve cover bolt on the motor. This really keeps it stable.

If your referring to the Steeda heat shield, it does not require being connected to any part of the motor.

As the heat shield uses the same mounting hole locations, as the stock airbox. Which also keeps it secure, and stable as well !

-remove sensors and pull stock air box out
-underneath air box are two rubber grommets, save these
-on bottom of Steeda airbox are two metal posts that will insert where stock airbox holes are (rubber grommets go in holes & hold posts secure)
-Steeda has also started using an extra mount that connects to the ABS bolt
-see pics for some ideas...and http://www.steeda.com/directions/555...ai-gt-s197.pdf
-I just completed this install so PM me if you need more help

Make sure you dont tighten it to much. I DIDN'T, however mine is cracking at the mold line.
