Ninosports have the best price on the GTA's
They were 279 & I believe they have a 5% off for holidays + free shipping.
Just be aware they don't have the 'Ford Racing' on the tips, but they look good anyway & sound great if you're not looking for window rattleing loud.
Keeping mine, I don't like drone!

Hmm...

So it looks like Corsa and Ford Racing GTA axle-backs are the only ones that don't drone.

I know I'm chiming in late here but I wanted to give a +1 for the Flowmaster American Thunders. They do drone very slightly around 2000 rpms, but it is barely noticeable. For the price, they are a good deal and the thing I like about them is that they are black so you don't see obvious mufflers hanging below the car. They break in really nicely too, I've got around 1500 miles on mine now and they sound great. Can't wait to get an o/r h-pipe and deepen things up even further!

I had MAC and had to remove them due to the drone.

Now I have Flowmasters and love them. I don't detect any drone.

Andy - don't know if your post was meant for me or not...but I did get my GTA's through www.ninosport.com and thier price with the 5% TMS discount was very reasonable.....I paid at least $150.00 more for the Magnaflows!!

Man! I tell you.. Stang281 Thankfully I've been able to sell all the sets of axlebacks I've been thru in last 5 months at a loss everytime I must add, the thing I like about the GTA's over the flow's is the tip wall construction and the muffler can tucks up better!... the major advantage over the Corsa the cost factor..

No kidding, I don't see how they can sell an axle-back for $600. Even catbacks for 350Zs were about $600-$800, and their market share was MUCH smaller.

I love my Flowmaster American Thunder Axle Backs. They sound great when you punch the gas but real easy on the ears going down the Highway. Even my Girlfriend says it's not bad. @$275 a set, not a bad price either.

Those of you with the GTAs from Nino, on a scale of 1-10, if stock loudness = 1, what would you rate the GTA's for:

idle?
highway?
WOT?

Idle- stock,1.. GTA,3 with a far cleaner resonate rumble. Highway- stock,1.. GTA,1 no noticeable difference in cabin. WOT- stock,1...GTA, 4 or 5 but again clean open resonate note! they still let'em know who's pack'in the meat big daddy!

Agleon just plug your ears up and hum that's pretty close to what you hear with drone. You can't really capture it on a sound clip because it's not only what you hear but what you feel. There is noticable vibration as well as sound.

That's slightly close, but I agree with you, you can't really capture the sound.

It is very annoying though, depending on the amount of drone and at what RPM. If it is bad enough, it will actually hurt your ears.

Get the GTA's. I have them and they do not drone. They sound really bad *** actually. My Drivers side muffler bumps the body over VERY rough roads. They are much thinner then the factory mufflers. And they kinda hang a little higher then the orginals. I think it just requires a little more adjustment.

So drone can be described as a low bassy sound, like listening to a low bass sound around 30 HZ? maybe???

Well, more like a mid-tone to low bass sound. It is definitely hard to describe, but everyone that has heard it knows exactly how it sounds and how annoying it is.

Thanks all.
do you have a stick or auto trans?? Cut chop and weld your own mufflers save the cash for other things. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=54335
by the way that show cut chop and rebuild .... sucks

I can picture all the TMS'ers now holding their ears in front of their pc's and humming to themselves...
