Axle back exhaust with good sound and no drone?

Hi everyone. I am looking for an axle-back exhaust that has a nice deep rumble with no drone. I am looking for as little drone as possible but still with a nice sound that is at least a bit louder than stock with a great sound.

Thanks all.

Doesn't that give a higher pitched/less muscle sound or am I completely off?

Check out the axlebacks used on the shelby gt, ford part# m-5320-GTA, I believe, the GTA part is right for sure. But they are only a little louder than stock, and deepen as they break in.

The last poster says the part number is m-5230-GTA. Is that the same one you were talking about hiznherponies?

Does someone have a sound clip of this axle-back with everything else stock? Can someone describe the sound more? Is it worth putting this on, or is it too close to stock where you can't notice it? Can others notice the sound from outside the car any different than stock?

Yea, its the same, just got the numbers a little mixed up!! Do a search for GTA, I'm sure you'll find a clip or 2, there's been several who have installed this muffler setup. Oh, and the FRPP/Borla stingers do drone a little. Some people say a lot!!!

I like my FRPP Borlas but the GTA muffler sounds more like a daily driver muffler than the Borlas.I've heard the difference and the two hundred bucks you'll save getting the GTA's could go toward some lowering too.If you want loud just get the SLP Loudmouths. They bark, rumble and roar. Its all good, just depends on what you want.Another option is change the existing tips to a 3 1/2" tip, that'll make it a little louder and save you even more $'s.

Already lowered

And I already have 4 inch rolled tips, I just want some mufflers to back it up Sounds like the GTA's would be a great choice, especially at that price! Does anyone know if it is louder or rumbly-er (new word) than stock or anything? I mean, does it actually change something?

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

Thanks for the links. I got to the part of the site where you can hear it, but it won't play on my computer. Strange. Does anyone have any clips they can upload so I can hear it?

Also, is it pretty widely accepted that the GTA's have little to no drone?

FRP GTA's or Corsa. C'mon you guys (including me) with the FRP Stingers. There's DRONE so don't try and tell the guy there isn't. Not that I can't live with it....'cause the rest of the sounds the stingers make is music to mine and everyone else's ears, especially with the FRP X-pipe added for good measure.

The only exhaust that I've heard that has truly no drone is the Corsa. I have not heard the GTAs in person though. Overall the Corsa is a higher tone than the Borla stingers, don't know how it compares to the GTA. For sound clips between the two brands you can refer to my Borla vs Corsa thread, but again the Borlas used are the stingers not the GTAs.

I've been running the GTA's for about three months I had SLP's so I know all about cabin drone. The GTA's have low restriction and no cabin drone but a More aggressive sound note than factory! low rumble and as there tempered with use they do sound even better! I've had axle backs on that cost twice much but these are very impressive, the tip is not just 4" rolled its 4" doubled wall show qaulity!.....

Yes the FRPP stingers drone bad, I had them and could not stand the drone. Sold them and got the GTA's not as loud but no drone at all, and the price is pretty good.
