In this case, I think not. Like I said above, I can get an NHRA-certified, custom installed 6-pt roll bar (with removable door bars) for less than that... in fact, several hundred bucks less than that.

So autopower is crappy because it doesnt cost 2,000$??????

hmmmm

I know you get what you pay for, but I don't call 400-500 + dollars cheap.

again, i'm not looking to break the sound barrier on the salt flats or pass nhra/ihra inspection to try and break into the 6's.....

some protection in case I go off track and end up rolling my car...

I would like to keep my rear seats usable by passengers or put in my daughters car seat... for adrive down to the market...

a frustrating decision considering the opinions and options for the 05+ stang.

I would ask to see pictures of the AutoPower rollbar installed in a car, before I had them ship that 200 pound package. Where do the back braces mount. (If you look at mine we put the back braces in the corners of the back seat.)
Do you have a coupe or a convertible?
Do you want to weld it in?
The best reason to do a custom one is that you can set it up the way you want it to be. You can make it as high as you want, anchor the braces where you want them anchored, you can bend around the seats a little too. You wont get that custom fit from a pre-made bolt in rollbar.

I will take pictures when I get home. I thought I had some of the install, but I dont know where they are.

The rear braces go into the top of the wheel well. It is EXACTLY like the Maximum Motorsports bars for the 99-04s.

I read on another forum that Steeda will release a 4 point roll bar shortly for the S197. I don't know if it is one of their own design or the AutoPower one.

If you drive normally and safely, do you really need a "Roll Bar???""""

I do drive normal and safely but on a road coarse you never know whats going tohappen, after all your not driving 55mph down a 4 lane freeway with lots of runoff or slowdown room... some road coarses if you go off your going to somthing to your car and i'd rather not have it take me with it.
