Automatics with 3:73's
I just got 3:73's installed in my car and was confused about the car not spinning bad on hard launch. From a stop with tc off I will chirp a little and hook up.I was thinking that I would be spinning off the line pretty good, but these cars must hook up good.My best times are with tc on and just nailing it.
For all you auto guys w/3:73's.what happens when you stomp it to the floor from a dead stop with tc off ??????

My first mod was the 3:73 gears along with headers, axle backs and a Diablo-sport tune. Shortly after that...I went a little wild and added a S/C along with an auto trans mod and single-piece drive shaft. I drove the car for a month or so between mods and I don't remember being able to really smoke those tires until we installed the S/C. The car was much more responsive and quicker after the gears were installed, but it would not really spin those ties by just mashing the peddle. However, if you do a little brake stand...you'll spin those tires without any problem.

Interesting! I didn't know that they were doing that. Sounds like a nice feature. My car was dyno'd in June. We are putting out 442 RWHP, 385 Torque. I'm really happy with the Paxton. It's been working well...no problems at all.

Paxton Novi SL
it is very interesting and i am hoping to get 500HP flat just to say i got the same as a GT500 with 1/4 the price tag but then again this car will see more road courses then drag strips so anything higher than 450 is good for me
And Tazzie, you will not be able to squeal the tires till you add a bit more power mods, like intake, tuner, CMCV delete plates, Under Drive Pullies, and full exhuast including long tube headers. Even then that is only a maybe that you will be able to squeal the tires by just stomping on the gas
