Who's the best tune for automatics brenspeed or bama ?

 

You'll be happy with either. I went with Bama and I'm happy.

 

Not trying to sound sarcastic, but search the forums here- you'll find tons of info. To help, I think you'll find in summary that both tuners have fantastic auto tunes however historically Brenspeed has had better customer service from the standpoint of being able to contact for trouble, upgrades, etc. I am not slamming Doug by any means, only stating that you'll find threads wondering where he is, slow response at times, etc. BUT, do your own research when you have a minute and make your own decisions.

 

Tom is correct on all counts. I started with Doug's auto tunes and they are awesome. No doubt. But I am now running Brent's tune and it is pretty radical. (Not for your grandma.) It is just much easier to get to talk to someone at Brenspeed and get the changes made that I am interested in. But that is because there is 4 or 5 people that will answer the phone and help you. While I love my present Brenspeed auto tune I cannot say it is any better than what I had from Doug. They are both great tuners. And just for the record I have run 4 different tuners tunes in my car. Diablo canned, Lidios from Alternate Automotive, Dougs and now Brent's. I have finally found a home.

I have the bama tune, been completely satisfied. I've also only experianced fantastic customer service but I have not had any urgent need to contact him so have only e-mailed and he has always replied. I think the other companies have more people to answer phones and e-mails, so may be better for people who need instant feed back.

Heard nothing but good things about both companies, but highly recommend Bamachips just from my experiance with Doug.

I personally would use Doug @ bama Chips. He has tuned many of my cars and I have been very happy. I just bought a 2008 GT and it has got 400 miles on it and I have already got a JLT and Dougs tune on it. I'm very pleased. The best way to contact him is by email. His number is 205-302-0231. I would try and email him. Just my .02 cents worth.

Doug is good but I prefer Justin at VMP tuning for auto tunes they seem to be more aggressive and got me into the 13's with no effort I couldn't break 14 flat in the 1/4 with any other tune.

 

I have a Brenspeed tune with my auto and am very happy. I love the customer service. My freind is a freak about tunes so i think he has tried one from all of the well known tuners. Overall he from what he can tell that there is not that much difference between them. This is at the track and dyno #'s.

This is much like a Coke vs Pepsi debate. Both are basically the same, just slightly different.

 

Bingo ! Fast competent service is probable the defining difference and I can personally state I have received this from brenspeed, Werther it be parts or tunes.
