Can't take a joke?

I would love to get a manual in my stang but physical reasons prevent it. Of course narrow-minded people like you don't consider such things...

Well if automatics are for sissys, then my sissy car just put a big wippin on a 5 speed GT stang earlier this evening. It was an 03 with a nice sounding exhaust and an intake and I took him by over a car length and a half in an 8th mile. Everytime he shifted it was a loosing battle, the auto in the 05 is something to be real proud of! I'll never go back to a stick again and appariently you have never tried the new auto. Im not trying to say it's better, I agree with you that sticks are way fun to drive. The auto is just faster 90% of the time and that is my choice in a transmission. And no, im not trying to stir the pot!...............

who cares what 03 you beat, its apples to oranges

if you understood the mechanics of the new 5 speed, you would know how much it is limited

for a stock car its not bad, get to modifying your asking for trouble

 

I live no where near Bowling green KT, so I won't be there. And the only mods I plan on doing are an intake and a reflash and maybe an exhaust mod down the road if I can find one I like. So the automatic will be just fine and not limited in any way. Don't get all upset over some sissy automatic 05 GT, it's not worth it trust me. We are all here to learn and talk about our Stangs. Apples to apples, oranges to oranges- you like your 5 speed manual and I like my 5 speed automatic........................

 

that is really all that matters, enjoying your own car


all bs aside, the 5 speed autos are very limited to what can be done to them, i dont think there will be anyproblems staying under 325-350 at the rear tires.

i do have an automatic in my fast car...kinda

Of course, over a little west of the Land Between the Lakes. Murray State Racers!!! Went there to watch a Garbage concert 5 or so years ago.

 

325-350 Hp at the rear tires is probably more than I will ever see, but it sure would be nice. Doubt if I'll ever get there though with just an intake and a flash. Im tossing between the C&L intake and the MMR, can't decide and im waiting for info from other users so I can make my decision. Heck I'd be happy with 300 RWHP and some deep dish bullitts. Enjoy your car, everyone is unique and thats the beauty of it.

Where are moving back to in KY? I grew up in BG from birth until 22 (went to Western KY Univ.) at which point I moved to Nashville to go to grad school. Found my way to KC last year.

[/b][/quote]You have a wee bit more powerful engine, and a slow shifter does not make a transmission bad.
