If they are still using Byron to tune he's good. Usually they are way overpriced and I have seen some shoddy work. ForceFed Performance in Sacramento a better shop IMHO.

I've heard too many bad things about taking a car to get tuned at their shop.

I like their car shows though.

"till car is right".
Hmmm.... What exactly is "right" and in whose opinion? One could assume that means a custom tune with a safe A/F ratio. IMO, the "right" tune is a lot more work than a safe tune.

Price is "right" though!

what kind of bad thing have you guy heard. I know back about five years ago they where great. Last I went in there and it looks like they moved a couple of building over and are under new ownership. I agree when byron was their he was the "chip burning" master for 5.0 fox bodies. I they are not relieble now what other shop are are in the bay area that are good. I'll be doing a CAI and injectors for a saleen supercharger and don't have any other references but apex.

I had them install pads and braided brake lines....they seemed OK....

Install seemed a bit expensive...around 8 bills for brake line and Hawk HPs pads. They had to McGuiver the bracket for the Steeda lines..I was more bummed at Steeda for that....no probs with the work they did.

They never sent me the pics of the install they said they had and would send...

I have also been thinking about hitting their dyno...last i heard it was 3 pulls for $100...expensive, but I know of no other local option....

i live abou an hour away from apex. Instead of going there for the install, i went to Sacramento Mustang. The reason why i went was because the prices at apex are just a bit too high. $800 for just gears and t-lok install. I got my suspension(springs, shocks, swaybars), gears, t-lok, and headers done for a VERY GOOD PRICE! Under $1400 for 2 days work that 2 people work on your car. I did a writeup on the v6 forums of the installs.

As for dyno, there is no dyno there or people that tune the sct. Sorry for the off topic...

If you want to mod an 05-06 with a Saleen supercharger there's only one place in the country to call as far as I'm concerned. JDM Engineering of Freehold NJ.

Speak to Jim or Jim Jr.(JimIII@jdm on the forums). I have spoken to them at the Fun Ford Weekend in Epping NH. All 15 or so cars and lightnings prepared by them were running flawlessly.

http://www.teamjdm.com

From what everyone says they're the Saleen blower specialists for our cars.

Checkout this link HERE to see what others are saying about their work.

i know JDM is the place to go for Saleen work, but I'm testing a cold air for a company and he want to get a a custom tune that he can sell with his intake that is dyno proven. Otherwise I was all ready to use JDM. Any other local shop in or around San Mateo Santa Clara or Hayward. Any body heard of a shop in Hayward called synergy i think
