I have it installed on my car and it does help shifting problems at WOT.
Keeps the transmission from trying to twist when you are in the throttle.
Easy to install and well worth the money IMO.

i'm researching this mod as we speak, as i'm sick and tired of my Steeda Tri-ax binding at WOT
a short throw shifter taking 2 seconds to shift at WOT kinda defeats the purpose

I understand and believe this mod would solve most if not all of the problem.
although i'm curious if there are any alternatives offered by other vendors.

p.s: N/A or FI.. why would it matter?

FI = more torque to mis-align tranny.

I think he is referring to me. It is a great mod! I actually have shaved prothane motor mounts and the CHE brace with torque limiters. Shifts are always precise no matter what the torque load. Another benefit, at least for coupe owners (verts already have them), is that it is a K member brace which ties your A-arm rear mounting points togethor making your front suspension more solid.

I was refering to Ryan (my Buddy) and I saw them when he had his motor out about a month ago. It looked like an interesting mod so I thought I would see what other people had to say.

I just changed my engine mounts to Prothane billet mounts. I am still using the stock shifter and it is working MUCH better now that the binding is gone.
The stock combination of the shifter mounted to the body and engine mounts that allow a lot of engine movement is a bad one.
Anything you can do to restrict the movement of the engine is going to help regardless of what shifter you are using.

I don't plan on going nuts like I have before on mods for this car, but the more I look at this little brace, the more I think this would make a great difference for the $$ in firming up the drivetrain with little more positive feel. I'm just trying to 'sharpen the edges' on this car with the best choices per dollar. Little suspension tweak here, little brake upgrade there, a little induction tweak here, and a little chassis stiffening there...

I want one, but I am trying so hard to not buy anything else for my car except for the upgrade intercooler and pulley.

I think you would really benefit from this upgrade Tom, but with the MGW shifter who knows. PM me if you want the info.

Since I installed the MGW shifter I have had no problems with bad shifts. MGW has designed the shifter to allow the front support to twist as the engine torques, eliminating the problem. It is the one design difference in that makes this shifter so good. So for the price you get a highly adjustable short throw shifter that eliminated the shifting problems at WOT. Good in my book!

Yep, you'll get more NVH with the K-member and torque limiters installed. A small price to pay for never missing 3rd gear again.
