Ok, I have an auto 05 and want to break into the 11's. I have already ran a 7.670 at Irwindale, which should put me pretty close, but I am going to FAMOSO (bakersfield) on Feb 25th and I want that 11 sec time slip!!

Anyone install the TCI 3000 rpm converter? What were your gains in 60 foot and ET? I saw the article in MM&FF, but since the test car had street tires and they were spinning, I found the comparison useless. Good tech info though on the install.....

Personally, I think your 7.67 is there already! But go get that 11s slip! And there are a couple guys running TCs... George (Blazing Saddles) has a TCI3000 with N2O as well.

I have the TCI 3000 stall. I lowered my ET by 4 1/2 tenths N/A. I then ran a 75 shot and ran a 11.95. I ran my best on a 100 shot 11.76 @ 114.95

Wow, thats awesome. I am running the 125 and can only manage 109mph at 2710 elevation (that should be 112mph at FAMOSO). Your 60' foot is awesome to at 1.600. You are obviously hooking well with a 60' like that. Since I have pretty much stock suspension except for the LCA's, is there anything I should do before getting the torque converter??

You should be good to go with just the converter. I added the suspension parts after I installed the converter.

Thanks George!!!

Although I run a different convertor it is worth the money. The TCI unit seems to be a good peice so give it a try

Thanks Mike

i got one also from TCI and picked up .2 just in the 60'!! 1.84 with stock tires N/A. makes it fun to drive on the street also! mine is a little aggressive for a power adder so stick with the 3000 stall. i went a little higher as i plan to stay n/a.

All this converter talk is getting me pumped. Mine will be delivered tomorrow. Anything special I should know about the install that wasnt in MM&FF? Also, did anyone order the cooler with it? Do you even really need it?

One more question....How long did it take to install the TCI 3000?
