Funny, I thought the optimum exhaust size was 2.5 for the mustang. This add claims HP gains with a bigger pipe

any thoughts?

I forgot who it is but I think Blazing Saddles has a # inch exhaust custom made for his car.

I think 169stang (Dave) could prolly answer here. I believe he had (has) the 3" stainless with lt headers.

I think 169stang has 1-3/4" LT and 3" out to the back. Stainless Works.
He put it on quite some time ago and showed 22rwhp (from his posts) and 22rwt.

Correct. Stainless Works 1 3/4" LT, no cats, full 3". 22/22. The car has a nice rumble at idle, not obnoxious, but is very loud above 3000 rpm's. I'm sad to say that the LT's are now gone. Can't use them on the new setup. They will be missed!
