Anyone running Tokico HP / Blues?

I'm looking for a budget Shock/Strut combo. Anyone have opinions on these? They are going to be run with Steeda Sport Springs. Here's what i've found:

Tokico HP's - $289 (ebay) or $330ish from vendors
Ford Racing M-18000-A - ~$415
Granatelli Tokico's - ~$375
Tokico D-Specs - $503

Koni's & Bilstiens go up from there.

I really don't need adjustability, but would like a decent riding shock/strut. Opinions please. Thanks.

I've been running HP's "the blue ones" for about a month, I don't have any complaints but I'm so new at this I really can't say if they've made an improvement. I changed the springs and dampers at the same time and this was 2 days after having the wider, stickier tires, 285's put on the back and 255's put on the front, so I made so many changes at once I can't tell what one item made the difference.

I went with HP's to save a buck and because I felt I didn't need adjustability. To do it over again I would go with the D-Specs. It seems everyone loves them with the Steeda Ultralites.

I ran my stock s/s for a while with my drop springs. It made a pretty big difference when I changed over. Worth the money in my book. I also went through ebay for them. I am sure one of the vendors here will match your best price.

I installed Steeda ultra lites when I had the tsb for "strut popping" taken care of shortly after getting the car in '05. At the time, I didn't want to spend the money on the shocks. In retrospect, I should have. I recently installed the frpp spring/shock/strut package on a friend's car and with a more drastic drop, his car rode better. So I ordered the Tokico blues from Grip motorsports for around $330 shipped. I was told by steeda that they are the same as the pro actions. They could not sell me the pro actions for the same price, though, so I got the blues and ordered the rear sway bar from steeda. Couldn't see spending $100 more for the "same thing."

Anyway, I expect the ride/handling of my car will improve quite a bit. I'll let you know.

Well, the ebay HP's sellers didn't give me a vote of confidence when I talked to them. The next best price I could find was $330. And then I found D-specs for $480 shipped, so I spent the extra $150 and got the D-Specs. Hopefully, they do me good.
