anyone running with the Pypes muffler deletes?

i really want to muffler-less but i just cant bring myself to spend 339.95 on the slp LM's when it really is JUST PIPE! yes, the tips are very nice but when the pypes go for 189, that $150 difference can go towards other mods. im just wondering what the install on the pypes is like. was it an easy fit or were they a PIA to get straight? anyone on TMS actually HAVE these pipes? i know everyone goes with the Loudmouths but it really is just too expensive for pretty tips.

I had them on my 07. They sounded great. When I switched to Kooks LT's they were to loud for me. No drone what so ever with these. They are hard to line up. I had cut the piece that went into the hanger and re-welded a little shorter. Fit was great after that. I am currently selling them on the mustang forums site. PM me if you are interested. I went back to GTAs because of the volume.

The fit out of the box is not good on the Pypes muffler deletes. While advertised as such, I would not consider them bolt in like other S197 mufflers. The pipes are fine, the brackets need to be modified to get them straight and level in the valance cutouts. The right side in particular. Expect to put some of the savings towards professional installation if you do not have welding skills. Something else to consider, modifying them voids the warranty.

I had a muffler shop weld some tips onto pipe and got out for $110. They sound virtually identical to SLP's

im going to hit up some shops and see what they would charge for some pipes and welded on. thing is, id like to have it so i can remove them when it comes time for inspection. that way i wont have to find a "shady" dude and i just can get it inspected with no hiccups. thanks everyone for the advice and headsup about the "modification" needed IF i do decided to go with the pypes after everything is said and done.

Mine are removable. they clamp to the over axle pipe and the tips are welded to the pipe that clamps. they look just like loudmouths

I've had SLPs, custom pipes, and I now have the pypes straight pipes. Pypes fit awesome in my experience. I actually still have the custom straight pipes with 4in rolled tips if your interested. They're just missing the hangers. I actually took my SLPs up there and had them bend them exactly the same.
